Great stuff Anthony. Very happy for you mate. Congratulations.

Once you finish unpacking it will be the most organised your house will ever be!  Don’t be afraid to ditch the junk you resisted getting rid of while packing up the old house.

As @Tony M says, how does the new music room sound?

I love the smell of a new house.  It's stressful, but you forget all of that as you move forward with your life.  Best of luck!

Great choice! Congrats on the build

Thanks all!! Initial impressions, having spent very little time getting speaker and seating positions set, are that it seems balanced. To me that's about as good a starting point as you can get!

Hard to see the differences in the chairs, but yes, very subtle.

I feel ya Grizzly.

I moved about 6 weeks ago. As everyone in Adelaide knows it hardly ever rains here, however after weeks and weeks of no rain the heavens broke the morning of the move!!!!

My eyes must be going. I've been staring at the chairs and I'm buggered if I can see a difference.

Now that the three Grizzlies are happily  in their new house, watch out for that little intruder with the yellow hair - she'll poke the tweeters in your speakers, scratch your records and sit in the listening chair eating crisps and dropping hair and crumbs everywhere - and who knows what else she'll get up to.

Congratulations!

Little G was sent to a friend's house while we did the grunt work. Dang the younger gen have it good these days! Part of the plan was to get the play area and bedroom ready for "reveal" on her return Saturday arvo. One of my highly important and urgent jobs Friday was to assemble the new bed. I duly set to, being a doting father and obedient husband while Mrs G ducked out on some, let's say, "errands". Upon finishing I plopped the new mattress down and promptly raised one eyebrow....straight on the phone to her majesty. "This mattress is too small" says I. "What the devil is going on here?". Oh dear, she bought the wrong bed, necessitating an emergency run to rectify the situation first thing Saturday morning. This of course pushed back the shed move til later in the morning, just as the rain began. I was a very happy bear I can tell you!!

Still, life has ways of providing us with amusing stories and all's well that ends well. Aside from the MUD!! Ergh, the cat racing in and out splatting filthy paws on the new furniture and new black flooring😡😡

HOWEVER....the trivial nonsense out of the way finally gave me some time to spend sorting and arranging my little space. It was a bit overwhelming to begin with, and is still far from complete but we have some progress😃

It's a bit hard to spot in the photos, but those chairs aren't actually a set. There are subtle differences in the fabric that can really only be seen up close.....

Good day to test the waterproofing on the external range hood fan I put up over the weekend. Spent the whole day internally panicking but for naught, dry as a bone!!

At ground level we have a carefully engineered series of shallow trenches to divert this light mist away which are working well.

I will, however, be leaving some strongly worded feedback on just how clogged the gutters were with leaves on the day we moved in, resulting in me being up a ladder first thing in the morning 2 days later in a deluge clearing it all out to stop the overflowing! Surely that should have been cleared as part of the handover cleanup? Very disappointing.
