Looks great @Cardiiiii

Just a thought, looks like you could move the rack closer to the wall and/or speakers forward a bit (if permitted 😅).

And maybe see if can dress the cables behind the uprights (OCD strikes again)

Cheers

Thanks mate. Yeah rack is too heavy, not moving that, too lazy. Also there's just enough space for me to squeeze through and change cables, so I don't think I have much room to move there anyway.  I have thought about bringing the speakers forward a tiny bit, however, I've also been to lazy to do that too, just taking a moment to enjoy the music. I will eventually get around to it.

Yeah the cables aren't pretty, I will look at trying to hide it behind the posts, once I have settled on the cables, which is a never ending thing really.

Drinking a fine red wine and listening to some great music versus straightening out some cables..........nah!

how is playing with the speaker's locations? finalised or getting there

This is exactly what I’m afraid of so I’ll just let them be 😂

Just set speakers exactly same distance to a point on the floor at your listening position, put on first track of Abused to Death and adjust until the dog is barking on the far right!,

Worked for me.  😉

I'm tempted to say 'but I don't have a dog!"

I like this concept with music and don't understand why it is not used more in set up's

Is that a real song and real effect? if so which track from whom?

Gotta get the bass right first, it is the foundation from which everything else is built from.

First track is "The Ballad of Bill Hubbard" on Amused to death - Roger Waters.

The man speaking dialog should come from your (almost ), far left side, while the dog barking sounds like it is across the road on your far right.

Recorded utilising Q Sound, it creates a surround effect throwing sounds literally all around the room with just stereo speakers.

It is astonishingly good with a well setup system!

I've found pretty much any speaker with just basic setup can do the ATD dog barking trick, it's not hard as the effect is in the recording, not the speakers.

Getting a good smooth bass response on the hand.

You're all wasting your time,  Cardiii isn't interested! 😉

The key with ATD is that the effects get better with proper setup, but as a rough test initially it's very good.
