Great Buys On Ebay, Gumtree, Marketplace etc.

Just replaced the so so AD 0160/T8 with a Fostex bullet 016N17 Folks we have a winner. You see the Fullrangers in those cabinets are Philips AD 12100 8 ohm in pristine working order. The speakers were a gift from an avionics engineer. The XO is as simple as it gets. Using the inductance of the fullrange to a 2.3uF cap that I replaced with my own secret brew of cap with a pure copper Audyn. 0.1 bypass to reduce the tuned circuit effect. It LIKES the variable feedback dial turned right back BTW Mockers I paid $20 for the lot. Who's laughing now?

ROTEL RX-1603

Not much of an add. But if its a genuine 1603, certainly has been rated as one of the top 10 receivers ever made. Rotels entrant into the monster receiver wars. @@Tasebass

Yeah I'm watching this.......out of curiosity of course... ;)

certainly more photo's and history info is needed IMO and if it all checks out I think the price seems more than fair.

6.1 speaker system.  The Deltas are the best speakers Accusound ever made (obviously my opinion, but the following Thetas were not half as good, never did hear the HD series though).  I've got a soft spot for them as the first decent speakers I ever owned were a pair of the Delta bookshelfs, the 825, I still regret selling those.  And that sub was a good enough design that they kept it for over three model series of speakers, only updating the plate amp that drove it.

Original pricing was $650 for a pair of the bookshelf surrounds, $600-ish for the centre (Accusounds top of the line at the time), $1250 for the sub and I can't force my memory to ante up with the price of the floorstanders, around $1200-ish I think.  Great value HT setup for someone and pretty good stuff for music too (also easy to DIY a mod or two, paint tar inside the speakers, put in a brace, easy crossovers to work on so they can be tweaked with minimal effort, just good value all round).

Sansui 4900

Looks tidy but terrible ad though

A little underpowered for my setup but I reckon it'll be gone pretty quick.
