ELECTRONIC: Currently Spinning

While this performance is actually anything but electronic, I think it will appeal to many of the users of this forum!

Those chords will send a shiver up my spine til the day I pop my clogs

I came across this mix by Future Victim via James Blake on Soundcloud, it was a nice commute mix. Pretty laid back, but enough beats to keep you interested.

I still haven't worked out how to embed the soundcloud player, but here is a link. https://soundcloud.com/user622245301/lost-frequencies

Hi All

Returned from 5 days of pain in Melbourne :(

Found this on the back verandah, a quiet pressing and is sounding better and picking up more nuances with the second play ....

It was held at Melbourne recital centre last Thurs, he has performed it before in Europe. The laser show is triggered by his music.

< Artist and composer David Chesworth presents bent and funky delights from the famed Clifton Hill Community Music Centre—including (but highly likely not limited to) sounds from post-punk group Essendon Airport, Philip Brophy’s experimental sound project Tsk Tsk Tsk and David’s own 1979 solo record 50 Synthesizer Greats. Once derided as too intellectual by fellow post-punkers, the team behind the centre for experimental music, performance, film and video are now lauded as… well… too intellectual! David’s live reinterpretations create soundscapes of unsettling otherness—the perfect accompaniment for relaxing with friends in the gardens as the sun sets on another working week.>

This one fused with funky and propulsive bass lines. Effusive, highly danceable and crammed with hooks, mostly fun.

This one gray and sparse minimalist aestetic along the lines of dub techno pioneers Porter Ricks and the emotive compositions of Pantha du Prince.

Damn! I made the wrong choice and saw him the night before playing as Monolake. First track sounded promising then it just went flat. Stayed for an hour and a quarter before getting bored and leaving. The Aussie act prior was much better.

Nice thread!!
