  1. https://www.stereonet.com/forums/topic/518961-fs-pure-audio-lv-1-phono/ This would be worth considering.
  2. Lovely album. I was lucky to see them perform in Sydney a few years ago. All of the Hubro label is enjoyable. I have a few of Christian Wallumrød’s as well.
  3. That’s a relief. I thought 5 minutes for a $16K cart was a bit courageous.
  4. So, you don’t use any test records or equipment to check your work after a retip or setup?
  5. Really depends on the cart and how rich you are, or willing to take risks. I’m happy to use the cardboard protractor on my Stanton with replaceable stylus, if I damage the cantilever during install I can buy an affordable replacement. But for me it’s an ordeal to handle my ZYX or any other cart I choose to use of a similar or higher value. I much prefer to get an experienced installer with correct testing tools to do this. Sure it costs more, but for me that’s the price of insurance. Each to their own.
  6. 500kg of flour! That’s a monster of a pizza. Hope it’s a no knead recipe.
  7. Further information: I bought this a few years ago for kitchen/dining listening but moved interstate soon after and so it’s been in storage. All original packaging, ARC calibration mic etc. Hardly used. The DTS app is pretty ordinary, I think after setting it up I used Orange Squeeze. 6.3kg for calculating freight or postage to your destination. Happy to drop off at Aus Post for you at agreed postage fee. Originally purchased on SNA here: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that a reasonable donation for selling fees is expected upon successful sale of your item - if you have previously sold items and not made a donation, your advertisement may not be approved.
  8. Further information: I purchased this from @GMoon8 for a great price of $550. Absolute stonking bargain. Original add is here: Lovely phono stage with a rich balanced sound. Forget entry level Cambridge and Project and buy a real phono stage by a renowned designer. Original boxes are a bit worn but I’ll double box for safe delivery. Happy to drop off at Australia Post or you can arrange collection from my home. I’ll be in ACT lockdown until the 17th October at the earliest so not going anywhere. For comparison I use a Puffin for my mono table and it’s not as rich sounding or textured as the Whest. Freight not included. No offers, if it doesn’t sell I’ll give it to a friend. Photos:
  9. Great price considering the TDSS upgrades. I’ve been considering sending my V3s for the new power supply. Probably cheaper to buy these and flip my standard V3s. Fantastic amps.
  10. https://www.psaudio.com/copper/article/chris-brunhaver-ps-audios-head-speaker-designer/ Chris Brunhaver is the current designer. He appears on the Hifi Podcast occasionally with Darren Myers (PS Audio Analogue designer).
  11. Statler: Hey, did you hear the one about the brick, the string and the broomstick? Waldorf: No, I couldn’t hear it. The distortion from my counterweight placement ruined the punchline.
  12. Now, for the unaccompanied curious children watching on, please don’t play your records with a broomstick and a brick and some string. It just won’t work, but it’s OK with CDs . So @henry218 are you sorry you asked? Look mate, SPUs look really cool and chick’s dig them.
  13. Crap poll @metal beat no Kanye West or Jay-Z. More talent in Kanye clearing his throat than every syllable ever uttered by that fraud Dylan. Peace. 🖕
