  • Why the heavy eyeliner?      I find heavy black headings and background lack the subtleness and lack of fatigue the old style had.

What you need is PaleMoon, the firefox fork that doesn't try to look and play like Chrome.

Quote

Pale Moon is an open-source web browser with an emphasis on customizability; its motto is "Your browser, Your way".[8] There are official releases for both Microsoft Windows and Linux,[8] an unofficial build for macOS,[3] and contributed builds for various platforms.[4]

Pale Moon is a fork of Firefox with substantial divergence, especially for add-ons and user interface. In particular, Pale Moon will continue to support the long-standing XUL and XPCOM add-on capability that Firefox has deprecated and will remove entirely in version 57.[9][10][11] Pale Moon has also retained the fully customizable user interface of the Firefox version 4–28 era,[9] while updating other parts of the browser with newer Firefox source code.[12]

Now that's something I've never seen before.

Have you cleared your cookies and cache?

Indeed.

Using Opera, I can have a button for any occasion and there is one on the right side of the main bar (CC - Clean cache, CH - Clean History).

I have also used another method visible further below and restarted the browser.

Interestingly, it shows in the address bar during page refresh that it is getting 81 elements from the site.

It just does not display them.

Below is the link from my mail program that was to take me to the thread to reply

Looks better than it ever has in my time spent here. Kudos.

Can anyone tell me how you now find the Classifieds Guidelines and other stickies? Can't seem to locate them.

At the top of the Classifieds?

Thanks Marc - normal programming resumed - needed to clear cache as I wasn't seeing any of the Classifieds sub-forums nor the stickies... All good now, thanks!:thumb:

Turns out I was in "fluid" view and that's why I couldn't see the normal headings and sub-headings...

Have you deleted your browser cache and refreshed the whole thing ?

Just covering a few tasks that need to be done ✅ - If you have already done so then I will leave It to Marc

Ahh that's the Portrait iPad resolution. Different resolutions behave different ways. It's a compromise across all devices.

In that case, you have a "back" one level button.

Cheers guys. Yup, I'm a portrait kinda guy... The 'back' button it is...

@Marc  at your leisure El Supremo Salami Maestro Magnifique:

The search index is currently processing. Activity stream results may not be complete.

This sits atop my page once I hit the unread content button, no biggy but  if it's a cache thing or errant command. You'd tell me wouldn't you.

Another minor minor niggle is when I read a post(after hitting the unread content button at top of page) and then I hit the back button on my mouse(or K/B) I'll get the entire post of the topic starter with no punctuations so it's a huge block of text if the OP is a wordy bastard like me and no full stops to break up the monologue. And each topic is the same.

If I've miss out on some fabulous prize as a result of this then it's a unaged Don's cabana for you old son next time we meet instead of the aged charcuterie from a Macedonian maker recently arrived from the Balkans(Goat based Salumi he calls it...yum in the extreme)

1. The search index is currently processing, hence the message that the search index is currently processing :P.

Should be complete in another day. This is all to try and improve the search functionality that a couple of members were quite vocal about :)

2. It's bad practice to use the Back button on browsers. The button should be removed entirely really. Use the breadcrumb navigation where possible.

When you click a link on a website, many things happen and are processed dynamically. When you hit back, the reverse does not happen and things can and will go wrong.

No complaints yet, so hopefully we got this one right.

It's been tested in all devices and all browsers. :party

Of course, until all the cache clears - there might be some ugly code left over from the old theme laying around.

LOL!

I just checked that guide................it's for Opera 12.

I'm on Opera 49!
