This Sunday is going to be an exciting day! I've gathered four of my seasoned audio buddies that I’ve leaned on for years to provide invaluable feedback. Together, we’re going to dive into an amazing listening experience, and I can’t wait to see how their insights will elevate it even further!

Cable shootout competitions are genuinely entertaining. Despite our diligent efforts, there are invariably unforeseen turbulence in my forecasts. As you are aware, I am appreciative of the opportunity to share these experiences privately when you have listened to them firsthand, as it is a courtesy to those who provide me with their cables for my own setup synergies. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that the outcomes of these findings may not be universally applicable.

Yes, he did! He was messerised by them here, almost unaware. His conscience awakened him and guided him towards the right destination. Stop embracing the journey of DIY and optimise the joy of each moment, much like I did, staying up until 3 AM, immersed in the sonic enhancements of a resistor, a capacitor, or an electrolytic vs a film capacitor to the beauty of silver wiring or copper in a point-to-point solder connection. 😁

Tonight, we’re showcasing an incredible $130,000 worth of speaker cables right on the floor! But that’s not all—an additional $75,000 worth of cables are ready and waiting in line for testing. It's a high-stakes evening for audio enthusiasts!

Are you back in Perth yet, Brodric? If so, can you join us this Sunday?

A valuable lesson from the recent unpleasant incident has prompted me to create a QoBuz playlist for friends to familiarise themselves with before visiting my home if they intend to compare and critique the electronics or system, which is outside the purpose of simply enjoying the music and socialising.

As previously mentioned, my setup is rather crude and brutal, with poor recording quality. This is akin to projecting one’s own frustrations onto the system, resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes. I acknowledge that other setups may be more forgiving, but it is important to note that this is not the case in my situation.

https://open.qobuz.com/playlist/32924252

Chanh, you setup your system the way you love it and it’s definitely a privilege to listen to it! I guess people want to listen to songs they are familiar with at home, that gives them a good perspective of the flavour of your setup . You are a resolution and big sound stage hunter, other people might look for a different flavour, that is ok, just as long as we keep the conversation polite, being different is not bad. We all have to remember that our tastes are just ours, not the absolute truth. I am interested in listening to that playlist, I am always looking for new songs to enjoy. Me personally, I like to have a system that is more forgiving because I don’t want to only listen to audiophile recordings, I want to enjoy the music that I like, and some of it is not the best recording.

I'm still in China...I don't think the N1T will be in Perth before then. I haven't received shipping confirmation from AV Gallery yet.

I like how you have used two different coloured speaker stands, trying to accommodate everyone's tastes. 😂 Very thoughtful.

I always find shootout competitions fascinating too and you can learn a lot from them.

You are correct, sometimes items don't live up to the hype and sometimes you get surprised by some items being a lot better than expected.

I've heard great things about the high end Siltech cables, I wish I was there to throw my speaker cables into the mix and find out more about the various speaker cables.

No worries, I thought you were still in China. I will have to borrow your ears once you get back in Perth.

I am delighted that you appreciated the humor, Leon. I hope that on my next visit to the Penfold spiritual house, I can also stop by your residence for a listening session. 😊

It is undeniable that Siltech elevates the timbre and liquidity of sound to a heightened level of realism and immersion without compromising on the broader dynamic spectrum. Over an extended listening period, listeners can simply relax and do not experience fatigue.

I would appreciate insights from individuals who have experience using both Crystal and Siltech cables in their audio setups.

Mine are pure solver ribbons.

I have no idea what Siltechs s10 monocrystal silver is but I assume it's something to do with the metallurgy.

Here is an iPhone capture from QoBuz.

OK, I've listened to this on headphones and I know this track fairly well. I think you have too much overall energy somewhere in the 100Hz to 300hz range, because the female voice sounds too loud/thick in the lower registers.

I think you should measure your room response at the listening position and consider at least some targeted EQ from the lowest frequencies up to the 200Hz to 300hz range. And that's just general advice I'd give to anyone.

Thanks @Satanica

Fortunately, HQplayer allows that correction. Will need Sean ( @rand129678) to help me with this. He did an awesome job back then.

Will arrange a catchup soon Chanh. Will have to be in a few weeks unfortunately.  I can't wait!

Your previous Magico's measured excellent in your excellent room. Our correction was very mild.

Well picked out but it may be the iphone.

Iphones are Optimization for Voice:

iPhone microphones are designed to prioritize frequencies relevant to human speech, typically from around 100Hz to 10kHz according to SYNCO
