Ahhh, wasn't too sure to start a thread here, but if someone reported this as offensive in the food section, please have the thread moved to somewhere more appropriate.

Some things at restaurants I will not eat, chicken feet at a Chinese restaurant during yum Cha is one, even though the BOSS loves it, I won't go near them.

Another is this, there's no way I Would be tucking into this, even if I was staving.

What about Black Pudding, Morcilla, Butifarra? The old blood sausage.

Love Chicken feet at Yum Cha.  Even my kids will eat them - need to start them young.

 

Black pudding is nice too - had some with an English breakfast fry up when we visited London.

 

Snake is nice too, as is crocodile when cooked nicely.

ARRRGHH I friggin' HATE spiders.....

I Remember a 'food' cart I in Thailand which had a delicious mix of fried bugs which grossed me out to the pont where only beer was on the menu that evening.

That and the stinky tofu shop in Hong Kong are my two no go zones.....

At least I'm not likely to come acoss them at Subway.

During winter I eat black pudding almost every day (lunch today in fact!).

But the one think I can't handle is durian.

Not to mention the Ancient Art of Ecky Thump .........

Black pudding hey,

I think I'll stick to the common fresh piece of beef:

Had black pudding today... Twice! Had horse fillet in green pepper sauce last week in Italy. That along with Croc, Roo etc is about as adventurous as I get. One great Italian meal I wish we could get here is beef cappacio (sp?) never seen it on a local menu but it's beautiful

Make it yourself (carpaccio), not too hard!

 

Get some good beef from your local butcher, hammer it, and presto! The name of the beef cut escapes me at the moment...

Unfortunately most of my "adventurous " meals are whilst on business trips. My wife is a great cook but sticks to the main staples. If I did carpaccio I'd be the only one eating it. As it was I had to have the black pudding twice today as it had already been frozen once and I'm the only one in the house that will touch it. Threw a 1/4 of it in the bin uncooked.

A Murri bloke I worked with gave me some baked echidna once ..... very fatty and a porky/chickeny flavour ...... not bad

Good to know, I umm'ed and argh'ed about giving it to the dog raw... Should have given her some at least, but probably too rich to give her 1/4 of a "horse shoe". I probably only have it 3-4 times a year when doing an Ulster fry. Didn't get the soda or potato bread today as my mums back in the motherland atm.

Seriously I did think it was part of a chicken wing...

I've tried chicken feet once. Very...... crunchy.

Also tried sea cucumber...once. Very.... gelatinous.

 

Sea cucumber.... It's a bit like having jelly, but not sweet. Not that I'm into it.

Yes, had Sea cucumber once in Singapore.
