Dr. Google didn't return any reviews on this pre - Plinius Kaitaki. Have you heard/own it? What are your thoughts on it? Cheers SMB

Caught the Home Theatre bug again after hearing one of the best Home Theatre setups recently...... Wondering if anyone has heard the Simaudio MC-8 5 channel or Plinius Odeon 5 channel? Or can recommend any other suggestions for Home Theater amps or power amps for Home Theater? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, Would like some inputs from people who have listened to Primare Gear especially the A32. I am currently looking to add a two channel Power. My gear currently is all ProAc's driven by an Arcam FMJ P7. Before going multichannel I had ProAc's Response D2's paired with Plinius Hautonga which was really nice and I liked the way it sounded, did not like the preamp part of it but the power amp stage was really good. Now having moved my D2's as rears and currently have D28's for the fronts with the arcam driving it. I feel something is missing. I will be connecting the power amp with Cary Cinema 12, My source is a Logitech Transporter two channel duties and I also have a HTPC. Price wise both Plinius P10 and the Primare are priced similar. But specs wise the A32 has a bit more power when compare to the Plinius. There are loads of reviews on the net which pairs ProAc's with both these companies. Cheers!!

Further information: Purchased in 2002 based on recommendations from reviews in The Absolute Sound and other magazines, this amp has performed perfectly driving Magnepan MG3a speakers and never missed a beat. For the last few years I have been driving the power amp section directly from my NAD M51 DAC to take advantage of the NAD's digital volume control, and continued to use the pre-amp section when listening to vinyl. It's easy to switch between the two modes using the Processor switch at the top of the back panel. Rated at 175 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The amp weighs about 12 kg and I do not yet have a quote for interstate freight from Tasmania. .

Further information: This is the flagship integrated amplifier from Plinius. They are generally made to order with a lead time of approx 8 weeks. This unit was purchased new from Class A Audio in Feb 2021 and is in excellent physical condition and perfect working order. I am the second owner having purchased from the original owner several months ago. The reviews for this amp are exceptional. This is a powerful amp, will drive all speakers, and is incredibly detailed and transparent. I was testing this against my Accuphase, but I can’t keep both. For me, the Accuphase is a nudge ahead, but it’s also less powerful, and 50% more expensive! It’s totally subjective.
