Thanks for the reply’s. I’ll chuck the stylus on when the cart gets here and buy a protractor to check the alignment and / or swap the cart later on. ??

I just got a call from the record store that they are out of stock of the blue stylus. So They gave me a good deal on the whole cart. I’ve never changed one of these before. Any tips or tools that I should look at before attempting this ?

Yeah that was me that got those speakers. Very impressed with them so far. I’ve bought a Blue Stylus from urban records in leederville. Just waiting on post now.

I’d probably go to $300 or there abouts. I’m running a Yamaha RS 700 into some Whatmough c31 speakers. Phono is a Graham Slee ?? DIY type thing I bought from here. Sure it’s only for MM but

So this blue stylus fits on the red cartridge ? Is there any difference between the two ?

I was wiping the dust off my turntable and managed to bend the stylus. Trued it up but it snapped off. Should I just replace the stylus or look at an opportunity to upgrade the cart? It’s a 2M red on a project debut carbon. Don’t wanna spend a bomb as I was pretty happy with the current setup.

Bought these in 8mm from the UK. Using some M8 bolts at the minute to level the speakers. Cheers for the ideas ??

Does anyone have a lead on some speaker spikes locally? All the cheap ones on eBay are from China and I don’t think the post will get here this year.

I started out earlier this year with vinyl. Bought a Rega P1. Took it back a couple months later as it had a few issues. Platter wobble, tone arm lifter stopped lifting... swapped that out for a Project debut carbon with 2M red cartridge. Big improvement in sound and quality in my opinion. Not looking for anything more at this stage. Cost about $580 for the turntable. Bought a Graham Slee phono off of the classifieds here for another hundred and am happy as. Always bigger and better though unfortunately ?
