Flexson has announced a new in-ceiling mount designed to tuck a compatible Sonos speaker neatly out of sight, giving homeowners the clean, built-in audio look more commonly associated with custom installation.
The Flexson In-Ceiling Mount for Sonos, model FLXE100ICM1011, is built for the Sonos Era 100, Era 100 SL, Era 100 Pro, and Sonos One and One SL. Once installed, the speaker sits inside the ceiling void behind a slim, paintable grille, with round and square finishes available to help the hardware blend into the room.

Unlike a traditional in-ceiling speaker installation, Flexson’s approach uses a standard self-powered Sonos speaker, so there is no separate amplifier to house, no speaker cable to run back to a rack and no unfamiliar control system to learn. Users keep the core Sonos experience, including multiroom playback, streaming services, voice control where supported, Trueplay tuning and control via the Sonos app.
Flexson says the mount is intended to make discreet ceiling audio a realistic weekend project for a confident DIY user. Installation involves cutting the ceiling aperture, securing the mount in the ceiling void, providing power, clipping the speaker into its cradle and fitting the grille. As ever, any work involving mains electricity should be handled by a qualified electrician where required.

Sonos Era 100 SL in its more common environment
For most buyers, the Era 100 or Era 100 SL will be the obvious match, bringing Sonos’ current compact speaker platform to a discreet in-ceiling position. The Era 100 Pro adds another option for homes already wired with network cabling, using Power over Ethernet so sound and power can run via a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable.
The mount also supports the Sonos One and One SL, giving existing owners a cost-conscious route into built-in audio. That could make particular sense for anyone who has upgraded elsewhere in the home and has an older Sonos One ready for a second life, while still running on the same Sonos S2 app as the rest of the system.

Flexson director Mark Glen told StereoNET:
That invisible, music-from-nowhere look used to be strictly the preserve of custom installers with serious budgets behind them. This mount changes that. If you can put up a ceiling light, you can put your Sonos in the ceiling – and if you’ve got an old Sonos One in a cupboard, you’re most of the way there already.

The Flexson In-Ceiling Mount for Sonos Era 100, Era 100 SL, Era 100 Pro, Sonos One, and Sonos One SL is now available, priced at £149.99 | €159.99 | US$169.99. Speakers are sold separately.
