SIM2 Finds a New Home with AVOZ in Australia and NZ

Australian-based specialist audio-visual distributor AVOZ has been appointed as SIM2’s new representative across Australia and New Zealand, giving the Italian projector specialist a locally based partner backed by more than 30 years of industry experience.

The appointment covers SIM2’s complete residential portfolio, spanning lifestyle-focused models for media rooms and living spaces through to premium projectors intended for dedicated home cinemas. AVOZ will support specialist retailers and custom integrators with product training, system design assistance, demonstrations and local warranty services.

Founded in 1995, SIM2 has built its reputation around high-end DLP projection, Italian industrial design and some decidedly ambitious home cinema products. Its refreshed 2025–2028 range extends that approach across a broader selection of applications and price points, with the Domino 4H 25-28 providing an attractive entry point just below A$20,000 for those seeking a premium projection solution for a media room, gaming space or small-to-medium dedicated home cinema.

Among the headline models is the UltraNERO 4, a 4K UHD DLP projector offering up to 7,000 lumens from its hybrid laser illumination system. SIM2 quotes an estimated light-source life of 20,000 hours, while motorised zoom, focus and horizontal and vertical lens shift should provide considerable flexibility during installation. Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs and HDBaseT, with operating noise rated at less than 30dBA.

The Crystal 4SH 25-28 is aimed at larger entertainment spaces and multipurpose rooms. It produces a claimed 3,800 lumens and supports HDR10 and HLG, with four EOTF presets available for different content and viewing conditions. Its hybrid laser-phosphor light source is rated for 25,000 hours, while the cabinet can be ordered with a black or white crystal-glass surface.

Providing the range’s most accessible entry point is the Domino 4H 25-28. Designed for media rooms, gaming spaces and small-to-medium home cinemas, it delivers 4K UHD images, HDR10 and HLG support and a claimed 3,200 lumens. The Domino uses the same 25,000-hour hybrid laser-phosphor approach as the Crystal, together with a 1.6x zoom lens and vertical lens shift.

SIM2 has also equipped the Domino with primary and secondary colour adjustment, white-point control, three motion-compensation settings and four dedicated EOTF presets for HDR content. Its pure-glass lens offers a 1.4:1 to 2.24:1 throw ratio, while RS-232, RJ-45 control and a 12V trigger support integration into professionally installed home cinema systems.

Australian pricing begins at A$19,999 for the SIM2 Domino 4H 25-28. The Crystal 4SH 25-28 Black is priced at A$29,999, while the white version costs A$31,499, and the Crystal 4SH Gold 25-28 costs A$35,999.

The UltraNERO 4 25-28 carries an A$49,999 price tag, with the dual-projector UltraNERO 4S Duo 25-28 sitting at the top of the range at A$129,999. New Zealand pricing can be confirmed through AVOZ and its authorised dealers.
