Create your Own Burger @ McDonalds thread

Featured Replies

Lol, this thread is completely random, but I'm a massive Maccas fan and I tried their create your own burger at one of their participating stores the other day, and I'd have to say, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had, so here's my creation:

Brioche Bun

Angus Patty

Cheddar Cheese, 1 slice

Bacon

Fried Egg

Beetroot

Caramelized Onion

Big Mac Sauce

Lettuce

I'm going in for dinner later today and adding fried Mushrooms to that bad boy.

So c'mon you closet Maccas fans, post up your favorite custom burger.

I'm might try one as well tonight....

I tragically allowed my 6yo to go wild with his creation resulting in a $15 burger (ouch!)

But yeah for maccas it's about as good as it gets.

at the very least it will be freshly cooked.

i hate when the burgers are cold, especially when you ask them for freshly cooked.

Big Mac

still like that and its cheap

i made one the other week, its good fun

Brioche bun

Angus Patty

Crispy Bacon

Tortilla Chips

BBQ sauce

Lettuce

Caramelised Onion

Tomato

It was pretty good actually.

Tortilla chips seems like an interesting idea.

Lol, food for thought

Which Maccas in Canberra did you go to?

2allbeefpatties........:D

Special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun.

Still remember that from when I was a kid.

And that'll be $15.....:D

Your not wrong, the one a made the other day was over $15, bloody good though.

Getting table service with your burger on a little wooden plater with the chips in a little wire basket, and simple as that is, it kinda makes the Maccas visit just a bit better, so it's worth the money, but like anything, it's a novelty for now........

Just a note, being able to add just an egg to a Maccas burger, worth the entry fee alone.

DO they do Roo burgers on a rye bun ?

I made one a couple of weeks ago, too. Best Maccas burger I've had and at $17 for the burger + fries + drink, value wasn't terrible either.

  • Baker's bun
  • Chipotle Mayo
  • Whole Leaf Lettuce
  • McDonald's Classic Cheese
  • Swiss Cheese
  • 113g Angus Patty ×2
  • Crispy Bacon
  • Caramelised Grilled Onions

hope you went for a run afterwards to burn it all off..... :P

I don't think I could handle two angus patties.

You're a MASSIVE Macca's fan... ;):D

Oh and make sure you have a diet coke to keep the calories down.

I think that would cost you your life.

But it's still McDonald's. Next time you pass a Grill'd burger shop pop in and give one a try, they are 100% Australian and taste rather good.
