soundfan
A bit noisy in parts, but for a nearly sixty yr old mono first press, pretty damn good. Miles wasn't happy with the original cover, asking a Columbia executive " Why'd you put that white bit*h on there?" Later releases were substituted by a photograph of Miles Davis. On mine too, have found many old jazz LPs over the last 2 years. Great for more obscure recordings too.

analog brother
finally got a copy of local bassist, jonathan zwartz's 'animarum'. wonderful recent recording featuring a plethora of local talent, including the inimitable, phil slater on trumpet. a fairly laid back affair that grows on you, the title track though, is instantly and eternally gorgeous.

soundfan
What a great release. Getting on in years, but Anderson had all the chops. The rhythm section behind him ain’t half bad either. Got to get a hard copy of this. https://www.allmusic.com/album/mw0000402147 Edited May 8, 2018 by soundfan

t_mike
Ray Briant - piano George Duvivier - bass Grady Tate - drums This would be maybe the only Pablo pressing from Japan that I own. If only everywhere did vinyl production the way the Japanese do. This album covers so many areas of jazz, Latin, slowed rag with great improvised fills, a little bop. Certainly something in there for most. This would also be a great album for those newly acquainted with jazz, seeking music that is accessible. Enjoy the jazz!

Ian McP
Hue Blanes Trio: Straight Chaser (Pound Records) https://hueblanestrio.bandcamp.com/releases http://www.poundrecords.com/artists/hue-blanes/ < hue is a singer and piano player and does both like his life depends on it, he is planning to move to Europe soon and study, because Australia is tiny and maybe they don’t understand him but still he wins awards like PBS Young Elder of Jazz 2017, like multi award nominations for the Green Room awards 2017 because people can recognise genius when they see it, is this a wise way to approach a career? is this what constitutes a good life? > regards Ian
