Yep went the kit also.

Will be interesting if the de/ attachable close back pods workout as I don't do alot of travel or listening in loud spaces but when I do these could be useful.

I just want the original open back

Pretty sure I'll jump in next week also. I have dental appointment to clear out then I think I will be on the kit too. Just hoping there is enough bass in these (to my liking), but with the pad options I think I should be fine. I am not a bass head but my musical tastes do call for a good impactful bass presentation.

From the reviews and some other feedback I've been given I think they will serve me well - at the price point which works out roughly $700aud now, I don't think there is much else that can match or better it, subjectively speaking from the reviews I have gone through.

The Kickstarter updates for those who can't see if:

Wow, that is impressive, along with two pad options the cover makes these incredibly flexible.

What colour did you choose? I know green is gone as it was in the initial early kickstarter campaign, I am not decided yet, but I don't think you choose colour until a later point, when I ran through the kickstarter process the colour option didn't seem to be there and there was a note saying you'll be given a survey with options at a later point.

Of the cover designs I think the left one looks better, but whatever is going to produce the best SQ is simply the best option in that regard. I am looking at them as  an open back option primarily but love the idea of being able to use them as closed when required too.

I want Pearl. I didn't initially like it but it has grown on me over time. I think it looks significantly better than the other colours..... If the black were a metallic black then I might consider that though as is Pearl looks best to me.

I switched to the kit as I realized that having both sets of pads made better sense though as per the Passion for Sound review I do hope they come up with hybrid ported pads. That would potentially take them to another level with no compromises. Probably better offering just hybrid closed and hybrid ported pads really and not bother with leather.

Yeah, I think the left one looks better however the snap on ones on the right do make more sense for ease of use. I will just use mine open back..... Unless closed sounds better of course or I use at work. It's nice to have something that performs on this level, with a high level of comfort and unparallelled flexibility as well.  :D

I am between the black and the pearl.

My understanding was the kit comes with both pads, the hybrid ported and the leather pads.  I am sure there will other parts on offer to purchase when the survey comes out, ie extra pads like hybrid closed.

Yeah, black looks a bit average to me. Just shows off the grill for the open back which I don't think looks that fantastic anyway. With pearl the attention is drawn to the coloration itself rather than the grill.... It sort of blends better. The same reason I went with Atlantis Grey on my BYD Seal performance. It's sort of a gret with some blue through it which allows the glass roof (which also looks bluish) to blend better. Doesn't look odd as other glass roof cars all seem to. Especially white..... That and grey doesn't show dirt and dust as much as other colors.  I like something that looks good without screaming look at me, and if it all blends correctly it does that 🙂

Yes, currently hybrid and ported leather pads though based on the Passion for Sound review there's potential the ported hybrid pads might actually better either of them.

Okay I missed something here and haven't chosen a colour.  How do you select.?

You comment on one of the kickstarter updates I believe

Yes sorry, from what I can tell, you don't choose colour yet, once the kickstarter period has completed and monies are paid the impression I get is that you email updates on your order and I read somewhere either on the Verum website or a comment Igor has posted on one the reviews where he will send a survey to all purchasers requesting information on colour etc.

Cool thank you

Cool, it looks like Igor has figured a way to keep the original design whilst adding removable closed cups. I'm happy about this as the original design looks awesome. Being able to change to closed cups will bring never before seen flexibility as well.

Just pledged  😀 👏

Hi @Garuspik I'm wondering if the massive support of the Verum 2 kickstarter campaign has come as something of a pleasant surprise? I'm guessing this will bode well for future business? Will you likely need more workers to keep up with demand?  🙂

Cheers

@MattyW - thanks! Is such success is pleasant? Yes, very. Is it a surprise - absolutely not. Good reputation, good new product, numerous reviews - frankly speaking I was quite confident and thought that realistic goal is about 800 preorders. I've guessed +- correctly. But it's 9 days till the end!

Guys, thanks for your support.

I'm already started preparations for production. Big success is a big responsibility.

I’m very happy this has worked out as expected. The 2’s put a lot of established brands on notice as I don’t believe there’s anything else can compete at this price point.

It also brings peace of mind the numbers are expected as this will all have been thought out and planned for. Kudus to you. 🙂

I enjoyed the painting of the Verum 2 cups video. Incredible to get what is effectively a handmade, boutique product at this price point. Once I've my I Mk2 and 2 I'll cherish them for many years to come.

The steering wheel tray is a clever idea and looks lovely. I'd order if I had need of one for certain.

After watching the clip I am not sure Black is the colour I'll chose now.

I think that Pearl colour is really cool and likely to be very individual as not all will come out the same.

Decisions to be had when the opportunity to choose happens.

Generally I prefer less flashy colours, but that does look really awesome

Also knowing myself and my habits/impulses, I notice the Verum 1 still on salem this could be a problem for my bank account.... there has not really been any direct comparisons to the Verum 1 and 2 aside from praise for both. I wonder if the difference between them justifies owning both?

Time will tell I guess.  I've already got my eye on the Zebrano 🤦‍♂️but if that happens it will definitely be after 1 July or once some more detailed comparisons surface.

Haha, yeah I think Pearl is the best looking colour too and its actually rather tasteful rather than blingy. From the video reviews I've seem the Verum 1 is a very different beast to the 2 and it is very worthwhile having both..... Which is why I also ordered one after I pledged for the 2. I also ordered the Zebrano. It seems we've similar aesthetic preferences  ;)

Awesome, that is great to read I am not the only one thinking this way!!

I have watched a few clips on the Verum 1 and am definitely interested, I am in for the tooth extraction in approx 2 weeks, so the Verum 2 kickstarter I wanted to get in on, I think the Verum 1 I'll wait till after that expense is out of the way.

I assume they will ship separately anyway which means I should be safe to wait a month or so prior to pulling the trigger on the 1s.

The Zebrano does look great, very tasteful. The pearl is still a bit flashy for me, but I've never gone for anything that colourful so I am thinking why not!  I am sure all that colour will go great against my Anthrax and Cannibal Corpse etc t shirts 😂

I'm sure you won't look as good wearing them as the young lady in the marketing either  😛

Out of curiousity, were you provided an ETA on the verum 1 order?

Are they built and in stock or require a build to be sent?

No, I've no idea how long they will take. A gander on some other forums indicate it could well be 2 months or more though really I don't know. In the meantime I'll continue to use my Monoprice Monolith M1060C magneplaner headphones.
