To bring it back to the topic of one headphone to rule them all, I think that it is the hobby and options that make this concept an oxymoron for most of us. No headphone is perfect across fit, build quality, cost, technicalities, realism etc. but even Apple AirPods sound pretty incredible and for 99% of the population they hit the mark. For us 'one headphone to rule them all' sounds great in theory but get's boring for us hobbyists.

I'm very late to the conversation but this post sums it up.

I'm currently enjoying Abyss 1266 TC and like everyone else before I tried it, my thought is that this is a medival torture device. However to my surprise, it is pretty comfortable, very balance on the head and I can listen for hours. As comfortable as the LCD4 that I had before. To my surprise, I also prefer it over my previous favourite Susvara which I still have. TC just have more energy and alive.

Don't think I will buy anymore headphones but if Neil @Ehrmantraut sells his Immanis at a discount when it's no longer the FOTM, I will get it off him. 🙂

Well, a good 100 hours in and the Raal Immanis are still very impressive, maybe more so. Can’t tell if it’s brain burn-in or physical but the sound is very  encompassing. Initially, I thought they wer

I suspect that both will be used equally. Just strapped on Susvara again (after 5 days of Abyss) and relished that it is so comfortable. The biggest change is that I hear a lot more of midrange whereas Abyss is more prominent at the extremes. Abyss bass though is just phenomenal.

I call it the Yin (black - Abyss) and Yang (white - Susvara).
