Sorry, Steff - mine is a Mahler-free system! @Steff, the Zimmer sound track to "Interstellar" will give your system a mighty workout. Keith_W
My system will do that no problem. Not sure what cheese would pair with Mahler. Probably something really big, salty, and stinky.

As I can only take Mahler in small doses, I would bring a Red Leicester, to counter the thickness.

MusicOne
Someone might know the answer to this, but is there a really good recording of Telemann's Table Music? I have the Musica Antiqua Koln set (Archiv) dating from many years ago and it is quite good, but somewhat lacking, sonically. A remastered version of the Musica Antiqua set would be great, but there appears to be none. Any ideas? Edited March 29 by MusicOne

Steff
@MusicOne I have found the hyperion label one of high production value, e.g. (helios is just their re-release sub-label.) their discs go rather cheaply on discogs...or FLAC download: https://www.hyperion-records.co.uk/dc.asp?dc=D_CDH55278 Edited March 29 by Steff 2

Steff
Many extant better recordings and idiosyncratic interpretations but this is a sentimental favourite and Julia Hamari's performing of Erbarme dich is heartbreaking (first heard in A. Tarkovsky's Offret/The Sacrifice)

I had a listen on Presto Music UK and it sounds really good.....just have aversion to downloads.....I come from a different era. Cheers.....John.
