If I had to guess I'd pick number 1. but am interested to know what you think of all three in comparison.

Bang on.

The order of preference is 1, 3, 2 for me.

Default curve (3) allows the fronts to really sing at the top-end, but the subs are working well here but a little reserved.

With (2) which is +6dB across the range, the top-end is stifled; I may find some genres that work, but my usual fare of rock, blues and soul is not the best experience.

The Harman +6dB below 300Hz (1), is the sweet spot. These Tannoys really sing beautifully and are best unrestrained. The punch and tautness of the subs are really pissing the neighbours off already with (1), so again, with the RT at below 500msec, I see this as an absolute win.

OK. Job done.

Samples taken on focused listening position (rather than either of the other "tightly focused" or "wide" options).

I've created 3 filters and pushed them to the Arcam AV41:

1. Harman +6dB under 300Hz

2. Harman +6dB full range

3. Default curve under 300Hz

No prizes for guessing which is my favourite.

I may be absent from the boards for some time. This is just bliss.

I too use Harman + 6db and is my fav so far.

Thanks to the legend that is @BugPowderDust for bringing extra muscle along to help unpack and wrestle these monsters into place.

Oh yes... They are just like my Tannoys in terms of the presentation: big and ballsy with an expansive soundstage, but just better in every conceivable category. Great efficiency means less on the gain for the same SPL as before. These puppies certainly have some presence and attitude to them.

I'm just running through my 30-odd track test playlist now. I haven't even thought about resampling and cutting new filters for Dirac yet. The old filters are doing a good enough job already. I'm just loving how crisp and tight everything is.

I imagine that 4x 12" drivers wouldn't hurt in that regard👍

Ok that was pretty damn intense!  You're quite sure it's good for a speaker's health? 😄 I had to put some soothing female vocals on straight afterwards.

That’s what amazing production can do. To see Ben frost live is an incredibke experience.. it’s very good for a speakers health. It’s a natural tonic.

Yeah epic album. I have the stems from some of this in Ableton Live format to tinker with: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/ben-frost-livepack/

What a treat, the superb timber finish on the Fyne's complement the room in its different timber shades.

Absolutely wonderful. Sit back and enjoy Tel, full credit to you.

Great choice! looks like you have the space to make these work well too.

Yeah - it's why I decided to go hard and step over the 703 to the 704 pair. Room is 6m x 15m.

I am getting used to their physical presence as well as their presentation. Whilst more analytical than the Tannoys they have replaced, they are not fatiguing. I'm getting more subtlety and insight to tracks I am very familiar with, which was not what I expected, but I am nonetheless delighted with.

How are you going to keep them safe from a kitty-attack?
