Bought this CD today at $14 from Celebrity Music, the CD shop at 1st level besides escalator.

Went to Popular at Bras Basah Complex a few days ago...there was no sale, no Tong Li, no Lily Chen, no Yao Si Ting, very very few MIC CDs. Had to buy from 1st floor shop at $14/ disc again. >:(

 

Are you sure promo ends on 12 Dec or did I miss  something?

 

No cds of Tong Li or Lily Chen? Then most probably it ended already... What disc did u get from the 1st floor shop??

Another good one. The system must be breaking in nicely.  If you like forward vocal and good sound fidlelity, this CD is not bad.  Don't let the cover fool you.

At Adelphi, my copy came from Roxy Music but I think it's available in New Disc Village too.....provided it is not "out-of-print".

Remember this Cantonese CD which was a classic?

It's a little cantonese fusion wayang.  Some of the songs are familar Lisa Wang favorites but the instrumental all different.  Very enjoyable CD for me.

 

And this one not even in my book.  CD vendor recommend this Hokkien CD to someone who sampled over the store system.  It sounded so hi-fi to me, I simply have to buy it.  Again another enjoyable CD.

 

 

Both are recommended but you need to have an appreciation for Cantonese and Hokkien songs.

 

For StageLove, I am detecting some vocal soundstage focus problem on my system. Vocal position seems to "move" as she sing or rather, it is not spot on, it spreads at the centre....if you can accept it then it's OK.

Another nice audiophile chinese pressing.  I have not heard the whole ablum yet but the first track alone is worth buying this CD. Will keep your subwoofer humming nicely.......

Just bought this CD by Xu Wen. Her Teresa T remake songs are second to none, except the original herself. I have Vol 1 which I think is even better. 

 

Just realised Xu Wen is a Singapore singer  :o How come we never see her on Ch U, 8 etc  ???

 

I bought about 15 Chinese CDs recommended by bros here during my recent HK trip. Really good recommendation. I going HK again next week and will buy more for those CDs I miss out last trip.

Yes, this is her 5th album I am referring to. Very good indeed.

I will be in HK tomorrow. Some of the CDs I intend to buy include Teresa Teng 15th Anniversary XRCD2. Can anyone comment this XRCD on the SQ if u own one?

 

I also want to buy one compilation from Jacky Cheung. Which one has excellent audiophile quality? From this thread, look like the LPCD45 version  is good.

I thought her vol 1 is much better than vol 2 where she seems to struggle with some of the songs. Hope she has made a comeback with more recent releases  :P
