Come over and decide for yourself! ?

Very happy with it,  too many superlatives to list !

Pitch stability and dynamics plus imaging to die for!

Just went and made a bigger shelf to fit the perspex lid that cradles the deck.

Congratulations on the new turntable Clive, looks great. :thumb:

I reckon the guy behind Wand is a pretty talented guy, I imagine his turntable is very well designed.

I really felt for him at the hifi show where he was forced to have a static display, I would have loved to have listened to it there.

Cheers Marty,

I have enormous respect for Simon's Wand range!

I went along to the "other " hifi show last year to compare with Marc's and see the Wand deck in action- and they only had it as a static display due to having to pay Chester for each brand they demoed!!

So didn't bother ! ?

I was champing at the bit to actually hear his deck in action,  as I was very impressed with it's design and looks!

I'm not affiliated with Simon in any way,  but happy to promote a good product and worthy company.

I contacted him and discussed how frustrated I was at the lack of local support and no demoing available for his deck.

He was good enough to send me his deck setup with arm pillar  already calibrated for my 10.3" arm to slot straight on, as a no obligation try out in my system.

Can't ask for more than that, I believe he is in discussions with a distributor here in Australia.

I hope more people discover how good his deck, tonearms and phono are! ?

I agree completely about putting a good word out there for guys like Simon who are trying hard to put out a great product and take care of their customers.

I hope he can find a good distributor here in Aust and does well.

I'm actually thinking about buying a Wand Plus second hand for a second arm on my turntable.

They're a very good design and I was very impressed with its sound having heard it on your LP12, it's kind of a no brainer really.

Wow. Clive you've well and truly entered the high end now. So many changes in the few years since I first visited your place.

Maybe I should start cleaning windows, it obviously pays well.

If you dedicate 120% of your total income - you too could be like me!

LOL ?

Virtually in a twilight zone work wise since the lockdown,  so too much time to plan and scheme on feathering the evil nest! ?

I'm next door virtually to @betty boop , would be much more profitable and convenient for him to do ours together!

Sorry Marc, boonies will have to wait! ?

Yep, will be in VIC week beginning 13/7. SA border reopening on the 20th.

This the Tony that @betty boop mentioned I believe. He did my projector too, back when the Aussie cricket team last toured India, as I remember watching the test straight after.

Love the system Clive. I must admit it's tremendous to see what people have accumulated over the journey.

Appreciate your comments,

It has been a long journey that began over 40 years ago!

Even though I'm yet to reach middle age, yes a slow maturer like good wine LOL !

But seriously,  have been fortunate to meet some very intelligent, generous  and sophisticated people in this game - and had enough smarts to listen to some of what they divulged.

The hard part is constantly trying to improve,  and not just tread water or (horror) go backwards !

That's why I try and involve better ears than mine, or at least good ones to confirm my impressions. ?

But changes in systems are not a constant thing , even though it seems like it with me - I haven't quite finished yet either but finish line is in sight . ( for a while! ?)

Simple answer,  life is never static!

You stop moving , you deteriorate and die . ?

Long answer,  people on here need stuff to buy, cycle of life etc. ?

or perhaps the weight of the speakers has affected his house's stumps some so it's got a lean up? Clever use of a wall bracket to maintain player level by adjusting wall screws in those slots too, as she slowly sinks in the west.....

Funnily enough had a pro out to size up few cracks around house to determine if we did indeed need reblocking etc.

Cost would have been a few good turntables so I passed!?

Seriously,  he said not bad and to just monitor yearly!

Been playing a few top recordings and is certainly playing ok, but welcome to bring over.

A larger GTG I had planned soon seems to have been pushed further away unfortunately with recent tightening of restrictions.  ?
