New Theme / Template

No complaints yet, so hopefully we got this one right.

It's been tested in all devices and all browsers. :party

Of course, until all the cache clears - there might be some ugly code left over from the old theme laying around.

  • Why the heavy eyeliner?      I find heavy black headings and background lack the subtleness and lack of fatigue the old style had.

Looks messed up for me in safari on mac. Everything is squished into the centre of the page with lots of white space around and some of the peoples details cut off. See attachment. I am using an older browser though. Looked fine before this recent update. Anyway it is not the end of the world and it is still usable - just looks weird. I don't suppose we can individually select from a range templates ourselves can we?

Did you clear your cache?

I have now emptied the cache and reloaded, and also disabled the cache. Also restarted the browser. Still looks squished using about a third of the width of the window. If nobody else has an issue you might want to ignore me as my safari browser is quite old. It looks fine in firefox and chrome on mac for me.

Depends what OSX and Safari.

I have found that Firefox 48.0.2 works well with OSX 10.6.8 whereas the Safari that came with 10.6.8 (Safari 5.1.10) has trouble rendering some layouts/structures.  I use Firefox on all of my old Macs.

[I see that Firefox is working.  I must type faster.]

I use iPad Pro with safari - latest update

I can't see any My activity tab e.g. Threads I have participated in

The arrow on the Activity tab only refreshes & holding it down you get the standard browser list of what to do next

The More tab does not activate any function

Holding it down gives the same result as the Activity tab

I'm typing this from an iPad and safari - its perfect and I can access activity tabs and streams no problems in portrait or landscape modes.

I really like it, looks sharp boss.

I would like to see the "Mark Site Read" to be at the top of the page alongside "Unread Content", it was previously at the top of the page, it is only at the bottom right of the page at present.

Thanks,

Russell.

Maybe just need to get used to it but on my iPhone, it  comes across as a bit too visually noisy for my liking.

I can't do it Marc, and I have cleared the browser

Screen photo included if that helps

This new theme/template looks very good IMHO. No apparent problems on my pc with chrome, firefox, or edge. No apparent problems on my android phone.

A supplementary issue

When I restart the iPad it also disengaged the " Weblock " app

When re engaged the tab issue has reappeared as before

So at least we know that there is an issue with "Weblock "

Weblock did not affect any tab function in the past ? And it does not affect adds on here

It works on pop ups on game apps ect

It's all lookin' very;

Why the heavy eyeliner?

I find heavy black headings and background lack the subtleness and lack of fatigue the old style had.

No idea what weblock is sorry. Not going to start supporting or fault finding ad blockers (which I assume it is and am opposed to).

I don't disagree. Main priority was functionality and cross browser and device compatibility. All our reports are indicating it's fault free.

I'll work through softening the theme though which is relatively painless.

Looks good and working fine here.:)

I logged in and found the aftermath of a zebra stampede. They left their stripes behind!  I've laid in stocks of black ink for when I want to print a page.

The Firefox cache clearing method works for PaleMoon users (non-bloatware Firefox).

It's all working well here but I agree with Shane. The really heavy blocky black is hard on the eyes. The previous version you did recently had the perfect font. It all feels a bit goth.

Working fine for me (Chrome).

But I'm sure Marc will tone it down a couple of notches.. Needs to be a lot more subtle.

Oh one more thing - Where's that up Arrow I like at the bottom of each thread?
