Yeah,it was up a 9pm last night.Gotta admit their gear is top notch both in appearance and sound. Also I noticed they now make amps as well,Knowing how Stuart is with his gear, without demoing them I reckon they'd smoke anything at least twice the price.

But dang!!!!Those illuminators are to die for. If I had the cash,I'd have 6 of them with a custom CC in a 7.1 HT setup    One can only dream.

Wow there's some really impressive gear there..

Some of there electrics and subs look very impressive..

Then there speakers are just something else..

Joz,

you are one lucky bugger

thats all i got to say.

I can't wait for my SGR amps and pre amp to arrive

they do look special.

And how well priced are those subs.

Well done SGR on some great products and now a great web site for all to see what you guys have been up to

Now just playing the waiting game,I'm still trying to get my head around what all the electronics can do.

May have to change my sig now that the cats out of the bag ^_^

That's almost 4000 Watts RMS and 8000W peak! Dedicated high current power lines may be required.

muahahah.... that's cool!

Truly impressive website, and even more impressive products! SGR are now firmly on my list for an audition of their speakers and amplification. The MT3F system including pre-amp and all power amplification looks like a very complete solution - just add source and away you go! Quite amazed that a Melbourne father and son outfit have produced such a high quality array of speakers and electronics. Can't wait to get along and have a listen to their gear.

As for the illuminators, my wife would never let them past the front door, but boy you look like you're in for some fun Joz. :D

Zammo

correct you are

when i purchased my ocatgons, i thought what i bought then for $40k was a bargain

finding out later the amps that were given to me were temporary and they will be replaced by these new ones along with a full blown pre amp just made the deal that much sweeter.

Get around there for sure and take as many cd's as you can, they are a great bunch and easy to get along with.

Wow great site for great products.

I'm very keen on some of the CX3B bookshelves with an accompanying sub. The beauty of these is that you can avoid the xover rubbish in your HT receiver as they have a fixed 80Hz xover allowing to run these speakers as large.

As a dream system would just love 5 MT3's with 2 or 3 of the subs as support. That's a dream for me though hehehe

Also the electronics look brilliant and I'm sure will operate beyond expectations as has the rest of the SGR gear I have heard. The 2ch pre has everything I'm after with a sub out.

Well done SGR! Going to watch the product development over the years with great anticipation.

Beautiful site and outstanding equipment. Makes you proud to think they are Melbourne based :)

wow joz congrats indeed ! would be some mighty companions indeed for the "twins" :)

I bet you cant wait :D

Yeah the bookshelves are very nice. They are rated to go down to 35hz by default, but you can turn on the active crossover. This gives the speakers everything above 80, and the stuff below is sent out the low pass output. I dont know of many other active bookshelves with a low pass output. Very very nice.

Put your existing subs in behind them, and easily integrate them in without any other external crossovers being required. Perfect !!

The new preamp is nice too hey, been crying out for a top notch 2ch preamp with crossovers built in.

I really like the 4way Convex floorstanders, 8.5k is price point that competes with alot of passive floorstanders. The CX4F's should be very competitive.

Very proud of this great Aussie Hifi company, with an unprecedented range of products.

Yeah I'd love to know the know the RRP on there pre-amp, cd player and some of there amp (EL30s and EL60s)

All look very impressive

millsy you do realise the optional 4 way crossovers for the pre amp is for the mt3 speaker package.

crossover points i dare say will be fixed.

I asked them if they will do a 2 way adjustable crossover board for it, for those who just want to use it with their mains and a sub

Al you have no idea. ^_^

These speakers have been in the planning for what seems like forever to me.

Finally some light. :)

But what about all their other yummies?

SGR are becoming the "Alladins Cave" of goodies.

No I didnt John, but looking closer, of course you are right. The preamp appears to be a modular design, so I guess anything is possible, when it's still in the concept stage.

Joz, I know how you feel, but not to the same degree. Geezus !!! Well done mate. That is 1 helluva set of speakers.

Thanks guys but I havn't got them yet.

Anyhow at least now that they're on the web I could change my sig.It seemed that they have been in planning for over 20 months now in one form or another.

Anyhow since my intial plans I must say that the project kept growing way beyond my first design ideas.

But what SGR have done with the speaker has blown my mind..

And to think if I hadn't put in that damn heated swimming pool I could have had a pair of these!

:)

It's all beutiful stuff. I am reminded of stealth bomber technology when I look at the bookshelves. The Pre is a work of art along with their amps. Definitely a great company just can't wait till all these goodies are out there. If their existing stuff (MT3's, Octagon's) is anything to go buy prepare your ears for something special....

Yep it should be really impressive when goes to 7.2 with them. :o

Speaking of 7.2... what centre and surrounds you planning on using Joz ?

Errm?

definately can't do 7.2 with'em.I'm still attached to my balls.. :P

In the short term my mains will move to the back and i'll be keeping my center intact.

But I can see there is a possibility of a matching center in the works at SGR.

Best thing is even the bride wants them, geez I love her
