That would be nice & from my Birth state -

one thing the Tassies do well is great food and great wine.

I like NZ wine too -

you are all educating me 😉

I don't miss much about Tassie but do miss the wonderful food. Fruit & Veg just not the same on the Goldie.

But with a bottle of that fancy wine, I bet I would not notice eh? :thumb:

There is a terrific fresh seafood shop nearby. They get direct from Sydney markets each morning.  Simply outstanding.

I've spent a lot of time in Tassie.  Been there about 150 times over a 4 year period when I setup a COE there. Salamanca.  Love the place.

Anim, Pooley, Bream Creek, Sinapius, Apogee.

Try the Field Blend from Anim, Sue.  Approx $30 a btl. Sells out quick.

Sunday and Wongaburra means only one thing: roast.

Today it's roast pork, roast potatoes, roast fennel, parsnips and carrots; broccolini and peas on the side and some stuffed, baked apples too.

Apples have got some brandy soaked sultanas with cinnamon and a little raw sugar in the cored middle.

Naturally there is a little something to drink with it. A 21 Grenache from Simon and Corey at Sons of Eden.

Serving in 5. Shall I set a place for you?

Always able to stretch to a couple of more seats if there are drop-ins. Our life's mantra is "if life has been good to you, build a longer table, not a higher fence."

No greater pleasure than sharing a good dinner and great wines with friends.

What happened? Did this end up being drinkable, or not? Having been in Darwin the past couple of weeks, I never found the answer!

I like this one. From last night - I just can't seem to operate a camera and drink at the same time! I promise it was pretty opaque and tasty. And only $40 for a 4-pack!!!

...and a Tuesday quaffer.

It's red in colour, so it ticks that box.

The Run Rig is possibly a top 10 wine ever for me. It's that bloody good.

Very good to hear, reckon I tried the '06 at their cellar door like 12yrs ago and it blew me away. Back then it was around $250 so I didn't buy, any but I've been a fan of Torbreck ever since.

Here comes another one just like the other one😆

This is a very creamy, super smooth and heavy Stout, absolutely delicious. @$20 a pop though it’s on the treat list.

Was looking for a last drink for the night and offered the bar tender a Yamazaki 12 but she is more a tequila drinker. I am happy to be schooled on something I am not familiar with. This is something different, in a nice way.

I thought the same thing - I love making Midori Splice cocktails at home, have not done that for a couple of years though now, must do it in the summer 😉

I just can't believe that you've suddenly all sprung me here  drinking another $6 wine, the humiliation...
