Kaynin
That 3020 is already past what I'd on Grey's, let alone all of the added fees...I'm out!

Luc
Shame you can't put your highest bid in and leave it at that. It's a full on rubbish system that Grays run. Caveat Emptor

A bit like the Sonique sale a few years ago. Apparently if you enter the auction during the last minute, the remaining time will be extended to allow the previously highest bidder a 'fair' chance to respond. And so on - indefinitely...

Jventer
To all the posters and watchers here. I consider myself a type of graysonline specialist I do drive a car bought on grays surround sound and bedroom amps bought there. some interconnects and and 2 TV's as well as a few speakers Add to that a few speakers and quite a few other items since sold off. However, you have to very, very careful: Need to understand the premiums added. Need to understand that they add items together , but then say it is actually different auctions. Bigger problem - the auction stays open until there are no more bids for 10 minutes (lost $1K that way). The RRP quoted is Bull.... Also be careful with pick up only. Although that could be used as an advantage as there are many people that do pickup and delivery, e.g. $100 for 65"inch plasma from Sydney to Grafton. My rules are: Do a lot of research, know your product Rule of thumb is about a third of the RRP My closing comment: there are a lot of fools on the web ( I know, I once was one of them )
ThirdDrawerDown
I've always hated how ebay encourages sniping and has a fixed cutoff time. The TradeMe apprach of selling it to what the market wants seems much more logical - keep the auction open until the second-highest bidder drops out. Grays is a different kettle of fish, their fees and charges are horrible.

Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk The items could be, but normally they are either new and just being sold to get rid of it, or they may be demo's or reconditioned. The main thing is to do your research of the price of something new and compare that to the price you pay, making sure you have the same warranties. Enjoy. Alfred Hayes
There were definitely some bargains but some items went for too close to their rrp in my opinion. Better off buying on sale from a retailer.
Jventer
Grays only stop once there has been no bid for 10 minutes. Then it goes to the highest bidder.

Extremely important to know your prices and the hidden costs on Grays to get a good priced item. Their trick to get people to bid then add 17.5% should be illegal. I must say I didn't know until I read here and that was too late. But I do think I still got some savings. Hope someone can comment on the NAD M12 I won so that I don't feel like a fool now.
