Hi everyone, Since there isn’t an existing M&K Sound speakers’ owners thread, I thought I would make one so, here it is. I first came across these a few years ago but it was only a year or two ago that I really got to know more when I started to build my HT / listening room. For people who don’t know them, M&K Sound have had a chequered past with significant highs and many lows too. Seems to me like they are now looking more stable than ever. Hopefully, it stays that way. M&K sound are renowned for satellite speaker systems with high end satellites, that more than likely need to be paired with subwoofer to realise full potential hence have distinct crossovers. They have been known to be used by high end mixing studios as their studio monitors. U can read a little about their product line up here from their website https://mksound.com I don’t pretend to know everything about them but having owned a couple of their speaker models, I can definitely see why they are rated so well. This is my current setup. M&K Sound IW 300s for LCRs . Which double up as Stereo speakers as well. M&K Sound S150T Tripoles for surrounds. Triad speakers for Atmos channels. M&K Sound X10 sub. ATI 543 Class D Amp for LCRs. Marantz SR8012 as receiver and amp for surrounds. Pioneer UDP LX500 UHD player. Apple 4K TV PS4. OzTheatre screens majestic 4K AT screen Epson TW 9400 PJ coming soon: Rotel RMB 1095 Amp Class AB. Possibly March audio Purifi Stereo amp. Mainly to compare if there is any difference between new class D tech and traditional amplification. Triad Gold 15 Sub. Acurus Muse processor. Streamer of some sort, possibly Naim Atom or Nad M10. Not sure! Would be great to see what others own currently or intending to from M&K Sound brand, as well as what they are pairing them up with. Thoughts, suggestions etcetera. -B

Ordered couple of SVS satellite speakers to extend my 5.1.4 to 7.1.4. To my surprise I received a bonus speaker. Not a bad deal $639 for 3 speakers. At the same time I am wondering what to do with the extra one

All speakers and sub-woofer in very good condition and rear surround speakers come complete with KEF speaker stands. Whilst they may now be a decade old, these speakers still have plenty of sound and will not disappoint. The KEF 3001 series are fantastic as they deliver a great movie and music experience, I recommend reading the reviews online about these speakers. The amplifier also is in very good condition, it boast plenty of power for a 7.2 channel amp (105 watts per channel for 2), has 3 HDMI inputs/1 HDMI output, upscaling to 1080p and is 2 zone capable. Also includes the Yamaha iPod dock which connects, plays and charges your Apple device. Purchased in 2008 from Eastwood Hi-Fi, all original manuals included. Any questions just let me know.
