  1. Mississippi , the band that would evolve into the Little River Band .
  2. I am not in need of a transport , but was curious and had a look on the Audio GD website . They are solidly constructed and have quality parts inside . I found the following quote interesting = CD-7SE transport has two RCA and two BNC outputs for a total of 4 output sockets. Coaxial #2 RCA and BNC outputs apply ACSS/CAST technology, each individual output socket has a different sound flavor so the owners can choose their preferred sound. Good luck with the sale .
  3. Anyone who knows about HeadFi , would know the name Cavalli . They are the Rolls Royce of Headphone Amps . I'm lucky enough to own an earlier Liquid Fire ( no longer available ) . Who ever buys this , can enjoy and confidently hold onto it for a lifetime . All the best with the sale .

  7. Item: Cerious Technologies Nano Reference Series cables Location: Melbourne . Price: 8 Foot Speaker Cables $500 2.2 meter pair of RCA Interconnects . $300 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Purchased for a new system that never eventuated . Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD , Bank transfer . Extra Info: Basically, these cables are medical grade Teflon tubes filled with five different materials. Two are silver and copper long crystal conductors, microfiber, plus nanotubes which are tiny conductive carbon, fullerene structures in the shape of a tube formed of single carbon molecules, and a liquid ceramic. The latter two form a slurry into which frozen conductor bundles are immersed allowing the nanotubes to fill in voids between metal molecules. This lowers the impedance of the conductor by 35 percent. This is the secret of the Cerious Technologies Nano Reference Series cables. Information from the Manufacturer. Each Nano Signature conductor utilizes five elements: Copper, Silver, Carbon Fiber, Proprietary Cerious Technologies Liquid Ceramic and Carbon Nano particles. Each of these elements contributes strengths combining to form a single conductor bundle of incredible sonic transparency. Getting multiple conductors wound together to act in concerts as a single conductor is not easy as one may think. Whenever you wind multiple wires or other elements together you get gaps between these conductors. These gaps form semi-conductors as electrons jump from wire to wire. the main problem is this effect is not linear - it varies by amplitude. The "louder" the signal, the more electrons jump from conductor to conductor. This causes the cables to vary their sonic signature with volume. Cerious Technologies has adressed this by flowing into each conductor bundle microscopically small Carbon Nano Particles which fill in these gaps forming one solid conductor. The result is sonic consistancy at all levels rendering a new standard in transparency. Review = http://stereotimes.com/cable060412.shtml Pictures:

  11. Item: Metrum Hex DAC Location: Melbourne Price: Cost $3,600 Sell $1700 Firm . Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgraded to a Metrum Adagio ($11,000 ) Payment Method: Pickup - Cash on Pick up, Paypal, Bank Transfer , COD Extra Info: Owners are very satisfied with this DAC , that's why you hardly ever see them available for sale . Includes built in USB module and Synergistic Research Red Fuses . Excerpt from the Absolute Sound Review = The Metrum Hex is a truly inspirational sounding DAC, it is relaxed, open, extremely revealing and has superb timing and dynamics. The Octave is good, but this is in another league to most of the other converters on the market . I didn’t have one to hand but the DAC that comes to mind as being close in many respects is the MSB Platinum IV Signature, a £12,000 converter last time I looked and among the very best on the planet. The Hex really does punch at that level. It is high definition in terms of detail resolution, very strong on dynamics and beautifully timed. You get all the life out of a recording without the grain that often accompanies vibrant sounding digital audio. It is vinyl standard in all except noise levels which are naturally much lower. It doesn’t sound like vinyl because there isn’t the character of mechanical playback that is intrinsic to the format but it does all the good things that vinyl can; energy, excitement and considerable musical communication. Put on a decent hi res recording and the musicians are placed firmly in the room in such living, breathing form that only your eyes will tell you it ain’t so. The Hex reveals almost as much about the quieter instruments in the mix as it does for those at center stage. This is clearly an extremely quiet converter, one that keeps highs clean and presents them in a solid, tangible fashion so that they recreate the defining edges of each note in a convincing fashion. The Hex is a high end bargain. 13. When I was using them , I had a preamp with 2 outputs . One output would go to a power amp and this would go to my main electrostatic speakers that were bass shy , so they tented to roll off naturally in the upper midbass (?) area . The other output from the preamp went directly into the 2 subwoofers and I used the variable upper frequency cut off , to blend them in to the main speakers . So does your amp have a single output that is the two channels blended together . If so that would be mono , ... right ? If so , ideally it would be better to have 2 outputs for stereo sound . No I don't have a subwoofer splitter cable .
