The V6 is the latest DAP from TempoTec, a company of seasoned professionals from China, Taiwan, Korea and Germany who "produce revolutionary user-friendly music gadgets".

TempoTec's V6 boasts an intelligently designed Direct Transport Audio (DTA) architecture and complex peripheral analogue circuits. According to the brand, which results in "an astonishing deep dive in low-end frequency response" - although the frequency range is not listed in the supplied spec sheet.
At the V6's heart are dual AK44935SEQ DAC chips (one per channel) mated to a Snapdragon 425 CPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB RAM. TempTec apparently has also fitted the V6 with an FPGA high-performance digital circuit, including a custom-made dual-crystal oscillator system.

We are told that the digital audio player supports up to DSD512, DXD, PCM 32bit/768khz and full MQA decoding. Additionally, the headphone amplifier should be able to cope even with difficult-to-drive cans, thanks to a claimed output of 610MW/ 32-ohms with 2VRMS via the 3.5mm port and 4VRMS through the 4.4mm output.

The 11.6cm x 6.8cm x 1.7cm V6 should be easy enough to operate with one hand. The 4.2-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen promises easy navigation of the Android 8.1-based OS. Also, being Android means that all the popular streaming services can be downloaded. Furthermore, you get two-way Bluetooth and screencasting capabilities.

Finally, TempoTec says the V6 is good for 15 hours on a single charge.
The TempoTec V6 is available through Audio Concierge for £399 and comes with pre-applied front and back screen protectors, USB type A to C cable, and a PU leather carrying case.
