If they are good and reasonably priced, I'm sure that a few of us together can make the full job lot purchase, which is obviously what he is looking for, and then make them available in smaller lots to SNA members

I am prepared to risk som small $$$ contibution to be part of either a great buy or a great laugh (ie when the sour tasting red wine vinegar gets dished up) - i know it sounds pretty cheap but I could really only go for say $50 - $100 including postage - my budget would not allow for more - so if someone wants to put a list toghetr let me know and I will put my hanbd up just for the fun of the "gamble". Might even serve it up at a SA GTG at my place!!!!

The Guy told me it is the best Wine available in Australia , but I guess that depends on personal taste, He also said that he has been saving this collection for 10 years.

Bofore meeting the guy I was cautiouse when going to view the Guarneri's at his daughters flat in camperdown, but after meeting him and talking to him for awile I am sure the guy is genuine, and It is just the fact that they are moving back to Hong Kong that he is selling his wine collection.

I honestly beleave that there is a bargain waiting to happen here.

Whilst not quiet 1000 bottles - this is what about 300 bottles of red look like at Dads place.

My collection is a lot more modest @ about 60 bottles though.

1000 bottles is a LOT of wine. I would be interested in a list of at least the main varieties and regions they are from. Dads also interested.

We need to find someone who has lost of time on the hands, likes to help out others, wont mind a bit of work and prpered to sample some to ensure quality and has some spare shed storgae to arrande for distribution - and they have to be in Sydney - anyone come to mind - want to volunteer????? (hmm would I do this if It was in Adelaide - could be a nightmare or a heap of fun)
