Latte mentality

Featured Replies

So hard to find a good iced coffee these days. Affogato all the way, with a shot of Frangelico.

How very civilised. :thumb:

  • Don't drink lattes, don't drink cappuccinos..... the milk gets caught in my hipster beard.     Macchiato all the way. Not too filling either for the ride home on my fixie

That's plain silly. I don't have an espresso machine in my second house.

I have to admit to having a latte in the Strand Arcade on Saturday afternoon.

Can you get one that says Nespresso?

That's pretty good for this early in the morning................I'm guessing you've had a coffee already?

All in a nice foil pod

You see modern society as in pretty good shape, then?

Me, I worry a little about the World being overpopulated by our species over the last 60 or so years. Go back to the population of, say, 60 years ago and we can consume as much as we like, in the way we like, with little impact on the environment.

I can imagine that, but I can't see it happening any time soon. In the interim, we may need to tighten our belts.

Interesting ideas. We should discuss further, over a coffee

One could argue that an espresso machine in every second house as symptomatic of modern society's excess.

Mine would say Expressi - the Aldi rip-off of the Nespresso...

With the cost of rent these days I'd be surprised if your tenants could afford one :P

Oh dear

I packed Silvia and Rocky for my trip to Darwin to ensure a consistent coffee experience.

I do order Latte when going to a unknown Coffee Shop even though I prefer it black as most coffee places use a bean blend that tastes crap when made as a black coffee.

That is very good, Zingy. You are on fire today.

This. Once you know what you like, and you can consistently make what you like, it's a craps shoot when you hit a cafe. Even within a cafe that does a good one, the consistency is still not there.

Do it yourself, it's the only way to know you'll like it.

And yes, milk covers a multitude of sins.

Doesn't cover up the shame and regret of Nespresso though

My Nespresso capsules were rolled on the thighs of oppressed third world virgin girls. I have no shame.

How do you sleep at night?

...no, let me guess, on a big pile of money (and little empty plastic containers)

Same. I drink ristretto so it's even worse. Most self decreed baristas just have no idea, I've received just about every coffee imaginable to my ristretto order

If the taste of nespresso capsules is anything to go by, I know why they're virgins.......

That is just being downright mean. Be nicer to the girls.
