I was listening to an interview the other day where someone from the company was saying how many complaints they had gotten over the new bottle. I think they actually had an offer where you could send away and they gave you a stubby holder that fits it. Same great beer, different bottle?We really are quite resistant to change.

I use to drink the crown lager on the plane, they are **** out of both stubby and can.

Crown Lager is pants.

 

I remember when we were fruitpicking and the guys on the next farm used to come over and sit by the fire carrying on about Crownies like it was the nectar of the gods or something.

Relabelled VB is all that is.

Any beer made with corn syrup is piss, doesn't matter what you drink it out of.

It's also funny how, at least in Europe, Fosters is promoted as THE Aussie beer.

They had some hilarious commercials when I lived over there.

I used to drink it on tap in the pubs as well.

 

Then when I moved here it's nowhere to be seen.

Part from the odd lonely sixpack rattling around in the corner of shame in the fridge at the bottleshop from time to time.

This packaging is very popular in the States.  Doesn't help with the flavour of their beer either, maybe that's why they turn to Mexican beer so much...

they actually don't seal very well. so beer oxidises real quick in them, and yep noticed the heinekins and such in these aluminium bottles. think they like them as can't "glass" anyone on the street with one I suppose ! 

 

re mexican beer….I love how popular corona is…over in mehico its run of the mill stuff….and the lemon which has become so common…people forget came about because it was needed to kill the germs

Yep, Budweiser and such are very, very common to find like this, hard to get in a can or bottle.  Doesn't help the flavour of their beer either, other than Miller draught, not a big fan of the American drop.

I guess you guys know why American beer is like making love in a boat?
