Just noticed there are 85 persons following this thread! I guess there are about 10 regular posters. Would love to see the jazz the other 75 are listening to. Don't be shy.

I am enjoying your postings bro. Having been listening to my fair share of music, both new & classic, but have been a bit slack in posting. Will make more of an effort as this is definitely my fave thread.

I don't follow any thread on SNA. I'm not keen on email notifications every single time someone posts.

And as the jazz and currently spinning threads are my favourite on the site (and visited at least daily), following is unnecessary. :)

Same with me. I was just very surprised that this thread has so many followers.

Received a few deliveries through the week.

Amazing in that all but one came with paper inners...

The exception is this superb release, purchased based on a recommendation from this thread when i asked for Nina suggestions.

Nina Simone - silk and soul

ORG release 45rpm.

Quick play this morning as we're going out for lunch but you just hear the quality straight away. Love it and her voice.

Oren Ambarchi/ Johan Berthling:  Tongue Tied

Via Tidal, but have just ordered in a vinyl version.

Fairly short by any standards at 32 minutes, but what an enthralling listen it is. Fans of both know that they have collaborated as members of the mighty Fire! Orchestra.

Ordered this one last week and I have the Sketches and Ballads LP. I find I enjoy Brotzmann's playing more when he is not the dominant musician. All the musicians in this ensemble have powerful musical personalities. Can't wait for this to arrive.

Rogue Art is a label with an interesting catalog. I have the Drake/Kassap CD in the mail that Chris recently recommended. Looking forward to it.

Can't seem to get enough of Ben Webster recently after loving the Gerry Mulligan meets Ben Webster LP. This one is also very enjoyable.

The Complete 1960 Jazz Cellar Session with Johnny Hodges.

OK Coltrane Fans, who caught the great doco Chasing Trane at MIFF yesterday? At one point they interview a Coltrane obsessive, Japanese of course,
amongst his thousands of albums sat a nice turntable. If you've seen it bonus points if you can tell us what make. Hint: it's German.
