You can’t find a local sports bar?

No, nothing like that here in Granada that I could find.

Saves me all the stress of watching in case its a close one.

Lets hope we play next Saturday 🤞😬

  • Crows couldn’t win their first final at home?  I’m not surprised. I still don’t think they’re any chop to win a flag this year, maybe now a few others will see the light…the Crows were torn apart in t

  • I think we’d all love to see that!  I’m getting nervous for this game and it’s not even my team!

  • Trying to watch the game tonight. CH 7 signal is not great this evening which is really annoying. All the other stations are fine 😡   As a Pies supporter I'm hoping the Hawks get up tonight

Well I’m still jealous.  Best suckling pig I ever had was in Madrid.

Yeah, we are having fun, what a town.

Tapas, what a concept….they are so generous with the food and the drinks are crazy affordable ✌️🇪🇸💃👋👌🍺🍷🍺🍷

Odd start time aside, this looks to be a great match tonight. Collingwood play a lot better with Pendlebury on the field so it's worrying to see him subbed out so early and the aggression levels are clearly high tonight.

Brisbane too good tonight.

Glad I cashed out at 1/4 time!

Although I don’t care for who wins next week I’m hoping it’s a cracking game.  GF day is the best day of the year!

If I had to bet with someone else's money at this point, I'd have Dawson winning the Norm Smith in an Adelaide victory.

Well I do have my own money on it.  $100 for Daics to win the brownlow and Pies to win the flag.  A couple of K in payoff, cross your fingers for me...  🤣

Confession time. I didn't cross my fingers. 😉

Also not fussed who wins next Saturday. But I missed out on GF tickets again this year - and every time that happens it's a great game! I want to be on the edge of my seat until the end.

Was at the game on Saturday, and thought it could go either way until Jamie Elliot was not paid a free and the ball went straight down the other end for a Lions goal. Went from what looked like a one-goal game to a three-goal advantage. (note: I'm a Roos supporter, so I'm hoping it was an unbiased opinion)

Yes I think the Umpires missed 2 obvious free kicks - Mason Cox having his glasses pulled and Elliots. Both would have been goals but based on the score the Lions would still have gotten over the line.

I expect the Cats will outplay the Lions on Saturday but I don't usually watch the game when my team is not playing.

Just 2?

Levi Ashcroft says hi.

Interesting to hear your unbiased viewpoint.  Hearing much of the talk back radio yesterday and today most pundits have it the same as you.

Really?  It's the last of footy that I'll see for about 6 months so I never miss it.  I used to have a large BBQ but the problem is that many people who come along aren't into it so they become distracting.  I enjoy either watching it by myself, or whoever is there is 100% into the game.

The pre-game main act has been excellent the last few years, I'm not sure about Snoop Dog this time around...

Robbie Williams was a stand out for me. And if I cannot get second round tickets I'll get a few pies and a couple of beers and sit back upstairs and watch it on the big screen. On Channel 7 so I can curse all the ads!

Yeah he was great.  I really enjoyed The Killers and also Kiss, but I don't listen to any of their music.

Sounds like a great back-up...and Channel 7 commentary 🤮

In 2012 I was living in a small town in Western NSW that hadn't gone digital, with pretty ordinary terrestrial TV. As such, we didn't even have the TVs connected to the wall antennae outlet and tuned in, with all our viewing via Foxtel.

I watched the entire season on MyStar HD along with the pre-game entertainment, not realising the screen would go black as they cut to the opening bounce. Cue 5 minutes of running around like a madman trying to find a device with an AM radio, and then feverishly scanning the band trying to find a call.

I eventually found it, listening to the whole game until the reception cut out for the last couple of minutes. I missed hearing Malceski kick the goal that sealed the result, only realising what had happened when the sound came back on and I heard the Swan's song being played.

I heard a very interesting stat about the Cats last night in that post the 20 min. mark for each quarter their scoring blows every other team away this year, more than double the nearest total!  Shows how fit the team is.  I'm hoping this is a close game, but have concerns it won't be.  I'll be watching with interest in each quarter once it hits the 20 minute mark though, that's when the Cats get really dangerous.

So what do you reckon will happen in todays Grand final...?

A great close game all the way, or is it going to be a thumping?

I'm a Hawks supporter, so for me hopefully the Cats win...then at least our pain and suffering was justifiable.

Pies supporter and it's the Cats for me, the rest helps them and should be too good.

Statistically hard to win 2 GF in a row.

We shall see..... game on ✌️:party

Yeah I love hearing the early calls.

I think if Brisbane’s midfield turns up (which they don’t always do) then it should be close.  Both teams are in form and deserve to be there, either can win it.  I’m not expecting a blow out.  A big question mark over Tye Gallop performing on a big day like this, Jeremy Cameron has done it before.  Likely a Cats victory, then they’ll go and recruit Charlie Curnow in the off season… 🤣

Well Snoop was interesting.  Much better than Meatloaf I guess, but that genre isn’t my thang.

The shorts indicate it’s a Brisbane home game.  I’m not sure how that’s determined?

Excellent contest so far.  I wonder if the third will prove to be the premiership quarter.  I reckon Neale will re-tear that calf.  Never take an injured player into a final.  Jezza has done FA, Cats need him in to the game.

Well, I'm not a football tragic and don't really follow the game. However, since the Adelaide Crows didn't make it to the grand final, and my sister and brother-in-law live in Queensland I hope that Brisbane wins. (They live in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, which is close enough!).

Considering this is the last quarter of footy I’ll see for 6 months, I’ll savour it.  That third by Brisbane was excellent.  The pressure all day has been brilliant to watch, a tough played game.

Given I’m not much of a fan of either team, I’ll skip the final siren celebrations.

Clearly I know nothing about form 😆
