Another idea.  On the form to create the ad, it could be helpful to have an automatic notification beside the text box to input the selling price that displays the seller's fee.

It would give the seller the opportunity to revise their selling price based on the fee if desired, and also reinforce that it's not a free listing (except in the pay it forward section).

A great idea! Will add that to the list. Thanks!

Just spent half an hour trying to advertise a Thorens TD280. I thought "turntable" was a fair try at "type". But neither that or "belt drive turntable" was accepted.

It works fine but might just look like the system is rejecting it...see below properly filled out to proceed with price, etc.

This confusion (red colour of input) is already logged as a bug and in progress. It will be changed to another colour in the next 24-48 hours.

Subscribed just now. Thanks Steff and Marc.

I've been using view all condensed to quickly scan through the ads and like it.

Can the system show more ads on one page if using condensed?. Seems to show the same amount of ads as expanded which is understandable but if the system can be modified to show more with the condensed view that would be nice 👍

Now you're getting greedy 🤣

Further refinements will come in time. There's still a few more things to resolve before we can start just making things "better".

Really liking the new classifieds, well done to everyone involved and thanks.

A minor suggestion: rename the "Furniture" category to "Audio Furniture", so people don't try to sell the kitchen table there.

Will keep it in mind. That did cross my mind but I am (optimistically) hoping it would be obvious 🙂

This has now been done. It should avoid some confusion for some.

I couldn't locate the Wanted to buy has that been removed?

Yes the light blue colour is much more encouraging, thank you.

Thank you:)

Thank you. I am able to reproduce this, so it has been logged and will be fixed promptly.

Just a quick question about the default inclusion of the electrical disclaimer.

I understand the need  for this on DIY or modified equipment which connects directly to mains power, but I don't get why a completely un modified item from a widely known manufacturer, should need this to be included.

The ED is also affixed on loudspeaker listings which do not connect directly to the mains in any way.

Moreover how can an un qualified ,non technician, seller state categorically  that their for sale device is actually compliant?

Of course, it is incumbent upon the seller to accurately describe the condition of the item/s and advise of any damage or malfunction but beyond that may/most sellers are not able to guarantee that their item complies under the terms of the ED.

Thank you @Marc.

I did miss that one about speakers, but my core question still stands and I see that the ED as default is still operative everywhere else (This is intended to be entirely constructive)

Thanks.

"specific categories", being removing it from categories that do not require an Electrical Disclaimer.

When a stock standard item is listed for sale, how does the seller give a truthful reply that a given item complies with the provisions of the ED?

If I am selling an item ( which I may be i the near future ) I would like to be truthful in giving that assurance.

By being honest? What's your alternative solution?

It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure their product being offered for sale complies with the electrical safety standards applicable to them for the country or state in which they reside

From the "More Information" we provide links to the relevant guidelines where known. Not sure what else we can do - we're leading the horse to the water ...

OK.

I will move on, to save your sanity:lol:
