Hi Sonica, I honestly don't know the capabilities of a common integrate amplifier having never owned one or looked into getting one, I would have to do some research to know for sure. Sorry I couldn't help

Integrated amplifiers are usually stereo, so you will be able to connect 2 speakers (left and right) and probably the subwoofer, you would be short the 2 rear speakers and the center channel if you were to use a integrated amplifier instead of the receiver.
