This is a sully serviced unit with the original, crumbling gears already replaced.

It has both SPDIF coaxial output and a Toslink optical one.

It features TEAC / Esoteric famous VRDS CD clamp bridge (version 4 I believe) and Sony KSS-240 laser mechanism.

Very nice and square SPDIF output trace.

It has been upgraded with Trichord high stability clock and also a French made mains input filter, with silver wiring encased in teflon sleeves.

Probably not spotless, but quite close to it. One would have to really look hard to find something to complain about.

See video at the end showing the insides, upgrades and the SPDIF output trace.

I also have a Luxman DZ-113D and Cambridge Audio Disc Magic transports, so something has to go.

Sadly, and I have saved the bad news for the end. I only have non-original, remote for it.

It is a brand new Skandia one with nice LCD display, but it is not the original Teac one. All functions are programmed into it though, getting codes from similar Tascam remote that I also have.
