L'oiseau-Lyre is such a good (Decca) sub-label, I will just buy baroque recordings I am not familiar with and ask questions later.

dwbasement
New addition, very happy with both sound and interpretation. Its a 2lp set so the tempo is fast on a few moments but it feels very natural and in fact quite relax...Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Happy
Sorry MusicOne, but that wasn't what you were referring to! You stated the Immerseel was unique because it was HIP and on period instruments (Read your post please). Anyway, I'll stop bickering... I'm listening to this superb rendition of the Brahms Hungarian dances by Ivan Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra (CD released 1988). Fischer conducts Slavic music like no other. I bought ready made goulash from woolies last week.....kinda makes me miss budapest mmmmmm beerSent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Happy
Bach can be not so sleep inducing when Gould plays it. Especially when they're pristine condition Japanese pressings I got for a couple of bucks at Salvos. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Ah yes the op shop specials, when they are good they can be very very good. One of the joys of man's desiring, is Bach is not as sought after as say Pink Floyd DSOTM, refer my recent unaccompanied solo posts above. djb
@Happy agree but 2 seperate productions on the same 3 records is very rare for me at least. if I do what instinct tells me I turn each record over and get a different opera!
