OK, then a pic of you eating a mandarin will have to do.

With or with out clothing?

I really don't want to squirt juice all over you know!

Another Kenwood Chef user here.  I use the ice cream freezer bowl and have been making gelato, sorbet and ice cream for years.   Last batches included walnut, black sesame seed and mocha flavours.

Okay, the virgin status of the Cuisineart Icecream Maker has been, errrr, rectified.   Love it! Easy to use and it really works!   A recipe from Ben and Jerry's did the trick today. Just finished

  • Made Nigella's no-churn rum and something ice cream a few weeks ago. Very nice.

I make a nice lemongrass and black cherry (when in season) ice cream. And I generally use coconut cream instead of dairy, but still go through the custard stage.

Wow, I was planning to bypass the custard stage. I guess I will have to do it at least once out of principle but it seems an awfully time consuming way to do the deed. The simple way to make the slurry seems to do a great job.

It rhymes with Mustud, you have to do it.

A chocolate and coconut ice cream I prepared earlier.

But won't it contribute more to Global Warming than the simple way? I am dead set against Global Warming and would hate my new interest to have a deleterious impact on whales.

Brilliant. I love the way the ice cream matches the flower. Chocolate ice cream is my favourite and it is the recipe I checked up on first with Google. Even before I ordered the Ice Cream Maker.

I am currently in negotiation with The Goddess on cleaning up if I get melted chocolate all over the kitchen.

Yesterday I decided to fix an old Samsung 315 colour printer I had stored away. I got new drivers and swapped over rollers and even got the fuser going again from a loose connection. What got me was all the loose toner when I blew air over the drum assembly. In the kitchen. This morning I ordered an new Oki colour printer.

Never happens with our HP 4050 and 4100s I said as I left the kitchen as The Goddess strips to her knickers and starts wiping over the sink. And floor. And walls. "Don't use hot water as it sets the toner!" I advise.

Is ice cream making a bit like that?

I don't know why she grumbled. I did get the printer going. Even if it did have a tendency after that to leave horizontal marks on the paper from toner leaking onto the drum. I could have fixed that too if given a little more leeway.

Big fan of home made ice-cream although we don't have one ourselves......... yet.

Spent some time in Tasmania before doing the Overland Track a few years back and lapped up all the ice cream we could. Mrs Prog's sister had an auto Cuisnart machine and all manner of berries so we made plenty to last a few weeks.

Fantastic flavour and so much better than store-bought crap full of paint thinners.

How's the ice cream making going Super Mustud?

I can report that the Squeeze prepared a batch of chocolate ice cream during the week and accidentally used Lindt chili chocolate instead of the usual 70% cocoa. The results were excellent - the chili flavour striking but subtle enough to still be palatable to the kids. Worth a go.

I am humbled. Machine still in box. I must remedy.

No regrets. Spring is here. The days are getting longer. The skirts are getting shorter. It's a good time to eat ice cream. Crack that box and try the vanilla recipe that comes with the manual.

Shall do. The use of Lindt chilli is inspiring.

I think the war office really needs one of these things for my birthday.

Perhaps I should let the kids know to save up their money now and hit me with a totally unexpected present in a few months time.....

Although not actually ice cream, my sister made me an Indian hung yoghurt dessert with cardamom the other night. She is married to a Gujarati and has thoroughly explored the Indian cuisine. The yoghurt was a revelation, quite amazing.

A recipe from Ben and Jerry's did the trick today. Just finished a double helping of coffee & almond icecream over Christmas tarts. Yum.

Used a trick recommended to us and included a shot of vodka in the mix to make it a little smoother and softer.

Everyone gave this one a tick.

Now for a Nespresso and whisky. Then I shall expire.

Gave the trouble&strife an ice cream making attachment for the Kenwood today. Can't wait to break her in, so to speak. May have to encourage the t&s to make a belated batch of traditional Xmas icecream tmrw.
