I got the 1093PQTL but, it's slightly modified in that Edward used a more efficient bass driver & a 6.5" mid range. They are transmission lines & the port is at the bottom rear of the speakers...

Crikey, the standard ones are already rated at 92db, I wonder what yours would be with the new driver.

They must be really dynamic

Well, I'm not 100% sure but, Edward decided to use the bass driver that he uses in his 'Valve' Line & I think his valve line are rated at 96dB

I have to say, I'm pretty happy with how they sound that is for sure...

Here's that article on room treatment I was talking about.

It goes against the grain of what you read a lot people saying about doing it......mind you a lot of the info given is gotten from manufacturers of room treatments, so it's hardly surprising.

That is an interesting read, one which I think I will read through a few more times to fully understand. I will then re-examine my own room, experiment a little perhaps & see what sound changes I can produce with different approaches & assess which sounds best. I will enlist my adult son for objective second opinion. He loves music as much as I do & is usually not backwards in voicing his opinion on how things sound.
