I must say, I am very dissapointed with the Onkyo 3100....

N OPPO 203 with AKM can't outshine the OPPO 103 in terms of sound reproduction..

All muted with veil on..

Sad day for OPPO n Onkyo..

Ushers with DA&TA38 rocked the house with superb ease..

gotta get back the older OPPO 103D (sound signature that i can trust in!!)...

n my Onkyo 3100 also has to make way for another brand AVR...

wonder if the Anthem AVR's r out in the market yet..

Hwee Seng is really slow in certifying the new Anthems for use in singapore...

Quick, do it quick Hwee Seng!!

the new onkyo's can't make it..

it is true, i am a die hard fanboy of onkyo..

i know their strengths well..

but this current gen of onkyo's are jus plain old Pioneers inside with class D amplification...

the great onkyo grunt sound died with this new range..

the old RZ900 will be the last of the breed of the onkyo grunt..but sadly it only does 7.2 channels....

no more class AB...(RZ900 is class AB)

all class D now....

Is there newer Anthem AVR models? Hwee Seng has been selling the 520/720/1120 since late last year bro. The bigger Mega Courts stores retails Anthems too.  If Hwee Seng no stock, search Carousell. Someone selling Anthem AVRs besides the local distributor too

Was at cash's place yesterday.

Was impressed with the Ho's Ls3/5 driven by the Class A amplifier through the Gustard X20pro Dac.

Vocal is sweet and clear. I still has my spendor se3/5 in my closet.

Make me want to dig it out to play and see how it compares to the Ho.

 

I also like the Usher 3 way speaker with the Diamond tweeter.

Different from the ribbon tweeter of the monitor audio Gold 200.

I have the Gustard A20h Dac and I like the ESS9028 pro chip as well though it's a tad different from the AK Chip.

 

We still drinking here at my place bro..

But I dunno how many more cans I can down..

Alan is having a great time with no problems..
