Hello Scorpion

what do i drink the most i would have to say WATER not my favourite drink but when it comes to ones health i have no choice

i should not say but when i go away at christmas i have an excuse to make up for the whole year on what i have miised out on

it is beer and i do like a good port

scotch n dry for me when i actually drink, which is very rare these days, but i do like a drop of red aswell

30 years ago Whisky and Bundy.

Since then BEER, Any brand, anywhere, anytime. although I went to Light beers for years.

Lately though hardly a drop, maybe in the warmer months I'll have a few, but I do drink Nerada Tea daily.

sh**! I sound like an old fart.

I used to be exclusively burbourn and coke... and my favourite was Wild Turkey Liquer.

But now: Reds, Corona's, Kaluha, etc.

Mid strength beer, with an occasional Heineken or Coopers thrown in on special occasions :P Red wine - Shiraz or Cab Sav. And I'm partial to a drop of good Irish whiskey - Jamesons or Tullamore Dew - cheaper than singla malt Scotch. Not that I would say no to a singla malt

Tea..............2 bags (Liptons Intense), 2 sugars..........a little milk.

If it don't tarnish the spoon, it aint strong enough.

I too am an old fart.

Mind you I dont mind a red or three as well...................................

Most of the time I have Madura leaf Tea

Occasional Beer's

Very occasional Single Malts

Alcahol is a luxury nowadays due to health reasons :P

Crikey Scorp how many fingers do you measure in the bucket after a few of those .

Onto the piggy list of favorites

Sazerac , the best bourbon ever to grace the planet

Lagavulin , The coffee drinkers single malt. 2x tea bag drinkers too

Chimay royal reserve . A 9% beer , WOW who would have though beer could be so good

Port always tastes nicer with a tickle of brandy

Reds and whites have to be drunk every time that You have to be nice

Cousin Rob's diy chilli brew always has a wonder or too

When in Ireland a guineas or two , To be sure to see the day through.

Moondog

Lagavulin , The coffee drinkers single malt. 2x tea bag drinkers too[/b]

please explain Moondog, never heard of this coffee, I love a decent coffee ..... one in the morning and one when i get home, I drink Lavazza gold, its by far the best of the ones ive found.

where can i find it?

Hmm......I like a nice red. Some single malt scotches are worthwhile, too. And there are some beaut liqueurs (Benedictine, Drambuie). Can't go past French Cognac......unless it's for Greek brandy (Metaxa). A gin and tonic is beaut on a hot day and a Bundy and coke is a heart-warming drink.

Some of the aperitif's are lovely, eg Campari, Rosso Antico, Vermouth.....which goes into a Manhattan, which is a classic drink.

At just the right time and occasion, a good bubbly can be unbeatable ( Brown bros make a nice one currently)......as can a nice, cold beer (Southwark Premium is a good'un)

Nothing wrong with a fine port, either, whether or not there's a storm. Vodka's a nice, pure drink......and it only takes a drop or two of tomato juice to turn it into an unbeatable breakfast.

Not to mention other favourites....Galliano, Southern Comfort, Guinness Stout.........

And I do love coffee (including Irish)...

Gotta go......suddenly thirsty

Cheers

Tony

Hi George , For great Coffee Visit. http://www.coffeeco.com.au/

Due to the fuss about whiskey drinkers an bourbon drinkers , Saying what is the best drop

I was saying that the best of the best is Sazerac

Then if it has to be Scottish , Lagavulin , Its a whiskey with flavor , Not for tea drinkers

lest the tea drinkers use 2 bags in every cup

Hello Moondog,

I don't know any of the stuff on this list.

How about I come across and we start at the top and work through it with some music on the side?

Hehe , This list is harder than a grand final to do in one day . Why . Its a sleeping bag thats needed between quarters and half time may take a week b4 you can walk again .

As in all good things Audio , Take the time to enjoy each component one at a time . Lest there be overload.

Interesting Topic Scorp,

When I drink, I have a few favourites:

1. Scotch & Coke

2. Kahlua & Coke

3. Drambuie on ice

4. Originale: Campari, Vodka, Tonic, Lime & Ice

5. Water  and

6. The odd "girlie" vodka breeezer

Best

JA

Lots of favourites:

I love my coffee!

Red wine, I have a couple of hundred bottles aging in the shed (in a cellar which is well insulated). I like mainly Shiraz and Cab Sav, some faves include Jasper Hill, Zema Estate and Cape Mentelle. Another really nice red is Zinfandel, Cape Mentelle make a good one but it is hard to get.

A Gin and Tonic (that's Vera and Philharmonic for those of us who remember Minder) is just fabulous on a hot day.

A good whiskey - single malt is very nice and some of those island whiskeys from Scotland are fabulous but I prefer a good Bourbon such as Bookers, Wild Turkey Kentucky Legend and Makers Mark.

Bubbly is good, but to be great it has to be French - R&L Le Gras Chateau St Vincent is the best I've tried - apparently it tastes like Kristal - one day I'll get the real thing and try it.

Beer is good: Coopers must be the best thing to come out of SA, better than their Footy teams that's for sure :P

Oh no. Only brewed leaf tea from a pot for us true tea drinkers.

When it's really hot and before beer o'clock, I love an ice cold Bickfords brown lime cordial on the rocks.

Now now DS, that's not true, one of those teams was better than 14 others this year. Yes! Coopers is THE BEER.

 Don't mind a good espresso for a pick-me-up, in the cooler weather I'll go for a nice single malt and in the warmer times I love european beers and for something different when I can find it an ice cold mead (my grandfather used to make home brewed mead).

for the curious - http://www.maxwellwines.com.au/meads/

Cheers Steve.

Reds, incl pinot noir

Sav blanc

Rum and coke

Brandy and dry

G&T

dark beers

Stickies

Single malts and wine are all I drink nowadays. Favourite malts are Laphroiag, Lagavulin for power, Macallan and Dalwhinnie for finesse. No real preference on wine brands, though I do like my reds with some age.

Beer, love all the good ones. Light, dark, black or otherwise.

Not that keen on VB, CD etc, but I'll drink it

I regularly buy Coopers.

Regulalry drink, whites, reds, sparkling. A big fan of Australian sparkling wine, drink it weekly.

Bourbon (good bourbon) on ice. Can't stand mixed drinks. :P

Coffee bags, if I can't get espresso ie at work.

Tea, 2 bags at a time mostly.

Lemon, lime and bitters. Must use fresh soda water, rather than lemonade.

The most refreshing drink I have ever had on a hot day. :)

God, I sound like a drunk!

How does the song go... "Started out, just drinking beer..."

I collect wine but not a serious collector (300+ bottles). Love red - never understood whites (except that it distracts the women enough to let men drink Red).. Actually, I like Chardonnay (Leeuwin Art series)

I generally have a few beers and wines over a w'end.

Beer

HoeGarten, Stella, Kronenberg, Heiny, Lowenbrau - just depends on mood. Also, sometimes Tiger (and of course Bintang when in Bali).

Can't drink Aussie beer from a bottle anymore.

Wines

Shiraz is Australia's best bang for buck:

Jasper Hill, Wirra Wirra, anything Barossa (esp Peter Lehmann, Grant Burge and Rockford), Majella, Heathcote Estate, Craiglea, Dominique Portet, Bowen Estate

Cabernet

Lakes Folly, Cullen Diana, Moss Wood, Majella, Houghton "gladstone"

My wife and I visited the Yarra Valley back in August, some very nice wines through there (purchased 10 cases - Aust post weren't too happy). Most of the wines were Pinots. Just starting my appreciation of Pinots at present (just in time for Summer). The YV ones seem to have really come of age.

We also try to get to Bali (Nusa Dua) each year. I generally pick up a few bottles of Royal Salute (scotch) - love the stuff.

John

PS every now and then I have a Vodka, lime and soda

Lucky mate, wish I knew someone with a vineyard.

not sure why that wine would make you sick unless you have all the bottles at once. Sometime they put a splash of other wines (grenach or viognier) in their Shiraz.

Other than that, FIIK...
