I used to live with a flatmate in the late 70's who was trying to get me onto The Residents.....she failed but I did discover Snakey, who I could relate to much more readily. It's just me.....

Our local video rental shop (late '80's, early '80's) used to rent out CD's as well. I can't remember which album it was, but I taped a Young Gods CD onto cassette and played it a fair bit. There is definitely something special about the Italian avant garde, although it appears that Alvin Curran was one of the minds behind this, and Steve Lacy contributes to several tunes. Maria Monti, Il Bestiaro 2017 LP reissue on Holidays Records. A noisy pressing, but utterly beautiful in spite of that. 1
