Hitachi Plasma 9500 and 9800

Recommended Posts

Today, I happened to be at Gain City, Marina Square. Hitachi has launched 2 new models, both made in Japan.

9500 - 1024 by 1080i ALIS panels costing $3399 c/w $200 voucher, 3 year warranty and 1 HT system. I was so tempted but I check myself. Better check with you guys first.

9800 - 1024 by 1080i ALIS panels costing $4499 c/w $? vouchers and the rest as above. Plus motorised TV holder. C/w Memory card slots, etc.

Technical specs are definitely better than 8500 and 8900. Any comments?

9800 supports 1080p signal input whereas the rest don't.  You can get the 9800 for $3999 with a free Hitachi HT system from Mega Discount Store. 3years agent warranty as well. If you want the tech specs, PM me.  I just got it from Hitachi Singapore.

Good stufff rage

Keep us informed of your new purchase

I was looking at the 8XXX series, but your news is good!

How much was the 9500? I don't need the fancy frills but the 9500 looks fine and I can do without the HT system.

BTW something I found on LCD vs plasma from Hitachi:

I too got the 9500 but from Best Denki.  The technical specs for both the 9500 and 9800 are  pretty the same except that 9800 has the SD memory slots, USB port and the remote control swivel Stand.

Well done Dennis

How much did you pay?

How about a review?

Thinking of buying before GST goes up - anyone knows when that is going to hapen?

Sorry Pete,  I will only be able to provide a review I have completed my renovation probably end Dec.

If the government announce the details during the budget talk in Feb 2007, then most probably the increase might take effect on June 2007.

I was at Mega last week, salesman quoted S$2700 cash for the 9500!!  ;D

What the Hell!  :o I bought my set for $3100+.  >:(  $2700 is a real good price.

Maybe the 2700 is w/o GST?

Wil you mount yours or does the 9500 come with a stand?

Hi,

Can anyone that bought the 9500 pls do a review or comments.....  I am seriously looking at this model....

Compared with the latest Pioneer model, I fine it slight not as good but you will have to look at it for a while to see the different but with a price of $2999 with a HT system... I am for it vs the Pioneer with is at $5K+

Any comment...  I didn't compare with the Panasonic PV60....

Cheers

The other difference between the 9500 and the 9800 is that the latter have better built in sound system.

I am also keen on getting the either the 95 or 9800, can someone please do a quick review here. thanks

Dont post wrong info lah..theres another thread in hwz.

9800

1.twin tuner

2.remote rotate viewing angle

3.card slot

But I feel all not worth the extra$$.

Me a 9500 owner, tink the best feature will be its panoramic mode.

BUY!BUY!BUY! lol

An MO is nice, but we should specify which model

E.g. I want the 9500 for delivery in Jan '07

And yes please reviews and places to buy :)

I dont think it make any difference in the model, as long as a group buy, most seller will think twice about letting you slip away.

Was at BD yesterday, offer price is $2999 for 9500, 3 years warranty, no gifts
