Crack the Skye (CD & DVD)

Bro how do you like the latest Mastodon CD? Personally I still prefer their previous releases (Blood Mountain is my personal fav) - I can't get use to the clean vocals. Muscially they're still brilliant, though.

Crack the Skye was my first time listening to the band and I really like it :) i did pick up Blood Mountain during the last Gramophone sale but I have not listened to it yet.

Bro Naglfar, u got your discs from?

They're from various sources bro. I'm in the States right now, so it's easier to find those titles that I've mentioned.

Bro IB, how much u paid for The Incident?

bro I picked up the EU pressing for $25 @ Gramophone Parkway Parade. The other branches are also selling the Argentina pressing so do check the back cover before you buy.

More eye candy than ear candy?  ;D

Reba, eye candy?!??!?!  :o That's new to me...

Anyway, I think it's the genre they are in - Country Music... Although I would say one is more mixed (with Pop) than the other.

Then again, I usually go for songs than the actual singer or genre...

couldn't find a pic of the album cover online so no pic here, apologies

verdict: refreshing, quirky, funny, generally great for relaxing after a shitty day at work

Yes, I got it from a shop in Esplanade, 2 old albums - Budakumentary and Assorted Hits

Strung Out - Agents of the Underground. An excellent return to their more melodic roots for this So-Cal punk band.

Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked. I just could not get enough of "Those whom the gods detest", so I ended up buying all their older CDs. Brilliant stuff.

HIM - Razorblade Romance, limited edition 2LP pink vinyl. One of my all-time fave album - the LP version looks just too good to resist.

2LP 180g vinyl with free MP3 download Tof the entire album. This is the new supergroup featuring DAVE GROHL (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), JOSHUA HOMME (Queens of the Stone Age) and JOHN PAUL JONES (Led Zeppelin). Excellent stuff!

The Swell Season - Strict Joy. With Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, this is the follow-up to the soundtrack of the movie 'Once' where both acted in.
