As it is the first day off work for quite some time and also it will be the first opportunity I will have to sit and listen to some music in my room, at some stage later today. The sun is out, the birds are chirping. This is more like it! Today was my first opportunity to have a sleep-in, but of course, once we get into a routine it can be hard to break from it. So the sleep-in did not eventuate, but I did buy a car this morning!! hehe. I've been trying to sell my red rocket ute for a couple of months now, as the lease only has 6 months to go and I was confident that I could sell it and pocket some money, which is in the process of happening. This will help to get me some new speakers one day in the future. I have not been very active here recently, mainly because we are very busy at work and also as I needed to locate a replacement car, so I've been busy scouring the net for suitable choices. So I just got home, the wife is out running and I have complete serenity at home. Wonderfull. I hope everyone else is having a great day. Happy fathers day too, to all who are one. Tells self "Don't think about work tomorrow, don't think about work tomorrow ...."

I realise that on a day like this you should be outside enjoying the weather, so I fixed that at my place I put speakers out in the alfresco and can enjoy my whole CD collection from out there, coupled with a laptop and wireless connect can surf the net also… And all work and no play make <strike>Jack</strike> LD a dull boy. :wink: PS congratulations on the new car, another chore out of the way.

Yeah it is too good of a day to spend it in-doors, but I'm pretty buggered ATM. When the wife gets home (she's still bloody running!!) we will go down Main St for a coffee. Re the car, I opted for something small, an 03' Caprice, black leather and black paint. Should pick it up on Thursday night. Re the speakers, no further developments. I've not even been in my room, let alone any showrooms. Still busy for another 6 weeks or so.

Best JA[/b] Ah yes, the old Nina test :biggrin: :biggrin: The ultimate test of a man's car - can it pull chicks! This one will be down on power compared to the ute, but plenty of luxury and leg room. The rear seats are bucket seats and it comes with the DVD player and screen's in the back of the head rests. The best bit is it is a much cheaper lease, so more play money each month :biggrin: I'm looking forward to my wife driving me around while I sit in the back with scotch in hand, watching a DVD with the head phones on - Like that's ever gonna happen

[/b] out running, out running......hmmm, old beer pot belly boy can't understand this one...AHH!! you must mean running errands ha ha, seems like you forgot to finish a sentence. Hmmph, the education system nowadays. Kinda know how you feel Phil, had work to do today but didn't pan out so I decided to put a few hours in finishing my subs. Managed to fool oops I mean convince the missus that it is work not play, as I need to finish them so I can get them in here and measure them and once that's done I can clean this pigsty of a room up ready for october. Work you see, not play ha ha. I hope y'all appreciate the next three weeks of work I have to do to tidy up the property. The boss always tells me cleaning up is part of the job....but that don't compute :biggrin:

So far been busy catching up with old friends and going back to all my favourite restaurants. I have already dropped in to Simply Hi-Fi and Audio Synergy. Seen some nice toys there, including a HUMUNGOUS Mark Levinson powering Wilson WP7's. Did not get to listen as my friend was in a hurry. Now ... have you made up your mind about new speakers yet?

Had about 40 minutes in the room to listen to some tunes. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Been out to dinner with the in-laws to celebrate Fathers day and we all had a great time. This was a very good day. All the best to all.
