I've had few requests I'm tweaking design a little then ill do a small batch run.  Ill do them free of charge there isnt much to it.  If people really like them, small donation can be made, this will be put towards more roles of filament.

The year of release is also critical. So far - I have found "2010" vintage sounded best.

Been busy last few days.

I've finally finished off the Lumin power supply cover / plug.

Since I've installed Gieseler LPS I've had big hole where I removed the male C14  AC plug.

I've made up the plug that screws into same location and makes use of XLR connection to feed clean power to Lumin.  I couldn't finish off the install I lent out my special screw driver kit :(

To me this looks better than what is currently available on the market.

Tomorrow I'll try get some more cable spreaders printed.

Lumin T2 vs my old Node 2i initially it was hard to tell difference as I would need to get up walk 3m to change input.

So I moved the whole rack.... next to me lol.

Comparing the two, there was very subtle difference, I don't have audiophile ears just equipment.  But when I played "The final thing on my mind" I had to double check make sure everything was ok. Node's sound stage was small one channel also felt as it was turned down..compared to Lumin! Such clear difference.  Some other songs I dont think I could tell, as they weren't so obvious.

Node 2i is such a damn good streamer and dac, from my experience I couldn't recommend it high enough.

Is the Lumin worth 6x more, well yes and no. If it wasn't for Lumin I wouldn't have know that Node 2i sounded broken on that specific track.

Down the road I go to standalone lumin streamer and more expensive dac. How deep is the rabbit hole ?

Speaker cable i was using wasPeakaudio UK standard, no idea what it is???. Was in my girlfriend box of cables I needed something longer for moving the rack.

Bit of fun.    Testing two different streamers and no preamp.  Same same but different.

Thats sounding great even through you tube. Tubes and Sonus Faber, but it sounds very lively and engaging.

Does it sound like that in the room.

Gonna get that album, i liked it.

I added rythmik sub few days ago, i took some reading and when i took  REW readings with sub and no sub. The sub made things worse...  In my mind it sounded better because more presence of bass..

Anyways i repositioned sub, flicked few other settings, adjusted the Low pass and damping and it came the measurements looks so much better.

i guess there is 2-5db more of bass, and i removed some of the problem areas.

At this stage PEQ is turned off. I will leave that for another weekend.

Unless I'm missing something obvious this doesn't look good as bass appears to decline quite rapidly from about 110hz without or with the subwoofer as currently positioned and configured.

I dont think its too bad, you can only do what you can do with the room you have lol.   Here is full measurement.

Mic is stationary in single position, if i was to move it around i could probably get better average? But i prefer to have it stationary to be more consistent.

Your sub seems to be doing absolutely nothing!!??  :o

And btw:

  1. I don't think the room has much to do with that bass response.
  2. yes, absolutely keep the measurement mic stationary - basically, where your ears are located.

Something not right there... the rythmiks should give clean bass down to at least 30hz...

If the system is currently sounding good , then I suspect it is something to do with the REW software settings.

I'd've thought at least 25Hz, t.  :thumb:

(Unless it's a huuuuge room.)

It is turned right down.  I thought this was normal for "musical" subs lol My previous KRK 12" SHO was tooo much..

Placement of the sub is right next to the seating postion as  my preamp is close to seating postion.. will change .

It does sound good but yeah need to look more into it.  ta for feed back..

Green Sub Off

Blue Sub on

Orange Sub turned up

Im not familiar with how subs look on REW . I should get my old KRK out see how that looks.

Hrmm still something still seems odd with measurements.  Are you running the stradivaris full range and just augmenting the subs in or using the rythmik plate amps to run a high pass filter on the speakers?

Below is freq sweep of strads from stereophile. Should have strong bass response to 30hz!

As tuyen posted ... if you have Strads then you should be seeing a graph like the below - with subs off!

IE. green - with subs off - is very different.

Are you using a calibration file with your mic?

Try turning the sub volume up a lot - so that when you do a sweep ... 30Hz is at the same volume reading as 120Hz.

Full range, in a non ideal room powered by Tubes hence i got the sub to experiment.  I knew  F12SE would be too small, but i wanted to test Rythmik out before i commit to pair of 15s.

My room is not that big but its open floorspace with another lounge and kitchen.

I just had realestate agent over today, i'm either knocking down and building bigger house with dedicated room or selling and getting something more ideal.. :)

Sounds like fun..! Nothing beat a dedicated room… From my experience, it brought average electronics like mine to whole new level. I listened to many mega $$ electronics in an average room and they sounded very average to majority…!

Having said that, you could take on my residency… All hard works had been invested….! I can move the boss and her immediate family member to Dailketh in trade of new speakers…! Currently dreaming Marten CS2! 😍😵💫🥺😫
