frankn Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Just measured my room base level background noise, 35Db so not too shabby. No attempt to insulate sound-wise from the outside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
frankn Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 Got some new music - Peter Gabriel Live, sounds good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4

Capone Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Ahhhh - To have a dedicated room Looks impressive frankn, great place to retreat to during our cold winter nights!
Jventer Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Hi Thanks for posting so that we can share. I really appreciate an insight of what others do. It is type of sharing a very private and personal space which I appreciate very much. Thanks Frank. We are all on a journey and I appreciate that you are sharing yours with pictures. My best wishes for hours of enjoyment. 1
frankn Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 Thank you for extremely kind comments. If anyone wants to come over I am happy to entertain anyone. I always find that other ears assist me on this weird and wonderful journey of audio. I don't think there is a single "right" way. I always try to have an open mind as long as logic and science isn't stretched too far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
mtf Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Frank, that looks really good, the lines and the colours work really well together Sound wise.. well, I can only imagine how enjoyable it must be to while away a few hours in there on a regular basis. . Lovely work. 1
frankn Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Trying a small experiment - short vs long interconnects. 1:5m vs 6m. And waiting on the pre-amp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 12
frankn Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Is this the new PS Audio Showroom? Stump No, that's up the road at Blackwood Sound (on the roundabout) but I'll suggest mine sounds better than theirs. [emoji2]. @@Batty come over one day for a listen, when you get back from EU perhaps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Tony M Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Wow, a few changes happening here, Frank - it looks very different to when I was there last. And, yes, it does look like the showroom PS audio wishes they had.
frankn Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Ummmmmm....... Yea, have gone a bit overboard on their gear but it is good [emoji14][emoji7][emoji106][emoji15] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1
mtf Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Have you noticed much or any difference between lengths Frank? Did you notice any loss of imaging with components back in between speakers?
frankn Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 @@mtf. I've got man-flu atm so my hearing isn't 100% but I'm pleasantly surprised that the imaging hasn't suffered as much as I'd suspected however I've kept everything "low level". I'm not sure if it would be the same if I put the TT and the other plethora in between the speakers. I need some more time to compare the cabling. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
mtf Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I have all of my gear between speakers and have thought of moving them off to the side, obviously some of the cables need to be longer to do this, so l am keen to hear your findings
Rob181 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) What happened to the ME 1400... Would love to have a listen if I can get my arse to SA.... Edited July 10, 2016 by Rob181
