Just measured my room base level background noise, 35Db so not too shabby. No attempt to insulate sound-wise from the outside.

HaHa Eamonn, when do you need an invite? Rock up whenever you are always (as anyone is) welcome. Sounds nice.

Hi

Thanks for posting so that we can share.

I really appreciate an insight of what others do. It is type of sharing a very private and personal space which I appreciate very much. Thanks Frank.

We are all on a journey and I appreciate that you are sharing yours with pictures.

My best wishes for hours of enjoyment.

Thank you for extremely kind comments. If anyone wants to come over I am happy to entertain anyone. I always find that other ears assist me on this weird and wonderful journey of audio. I don't think there is a single "right" way. I always try to have an open mind as long as logic and science isn't stretched too far.

Sensational - room treatment is looking involved

Frank, that looks really good, the lines and the colours work really  well together  :thumb:

Sound wise.. well, I can only imagine how enjoyable it must be to while away a few hours in there on a regular basis. :) . Lovely work.

Trying a small experiment - short vs long interconnects. 1:5m vs 6m. And waiting on the pre-amp. c5320e05e3f1e05cf40374bdaea56ce8.jpg

Is this the new PS Audio Showroom? ;)

Stump

No, that's up the road at Blackwood Sound (on the roundabout) but I'll suggest mine sounds better than theirs. [emoji2]. @@Batty come over one day for a listen, when you get back from EU perhaps.

Wow, a few changes happening here, Frank - it looks very different to when I was there last.

And, yes, it does look like the showroom PS audio wishes they had. :thumb:

Have you noticed much or any difference between lengths Frank?

Did you notice any loss of imaging with components back in between speakers?

Posted

@@mtf. I've got man-flu atm so my hearing isn't 100% but I'm pleasantly surprised that the imaging hasn't suffered as much as I'd suspected however I've kept everything "low level". I'm not sure if it would be the same if I put the TT and the other plethora in between the speakers.

I need some more time to compare the cabling.

I have all of my gear between speakers and have thought of moving them off to the side, obviously some of the cables need to be longer to do this, so l am keen to hear your findings
