Living audio speakers made by crysler

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys. Anyone had any experience with a brand of speakers called "living audio" made by a company called crysler. Japanese brand from the seventies. I will be auditioning the product below in the coming weeks and was wondering if anyone was familiar with them.

Ended up buying these and absolutely love them. Probably prefer them to the dynaudio dm2/8's. Scratchy pots though and haVe taken them to dr speaker to replace caps and rewire and clean pots. Cant wait to get them back. Bit Thirsty, sealed cabinet, image really well, great bass.

Hi $piro,

I have a pair of the "Living Audio CE-5B" and they sound fantastic paired with a vintage Sansui of the same era. I was not expecting much when I got them but have been very, very surprised. I could not find anything on the model I have, but found a bit here and there on Crysler Electric. And they certainly have a following in Germany, where they seem to be in higher circulation than elsewhere. Glad to hear your story about this little known brand.

Cheers

I would love to acquire another pair someday because i am very pleased with the quality of them. I have them paired with a jvc ja-s71 that i acquired from a SNA member and a bluesound node 2i. Had them serviced a couple of months ago by Dr Sound in melbourne and he was impressed with them. He had never seen or heard of them either so we spent some time listening to them on a big fat tube amp that he had built and it was there that i realised their potential. I will never sell mine and would love to see some photos of yours ?

For access to the whole Audio Heritage site (the English version of which is much smaller) try this:

http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Faudio-heritage.jp&sandbox=1

Over the years our friends in Japan have built things that would make strong men marvel, but I am not yet in the market for a 4x300B per channel push-pull Mactone, thanks all the same.
