Hi Bryan @guru did as you suggested and although there was a tiny difference in how my son sounded as he sung at either end of the room, it was not much. Will be a wait and see me thinks! Always happy with advice and tips supplied via StereoNet! We must catch up soon, no doubt you have a new HNT Gordon plane (or two) to show off! Cheers, Michael

Maybe one since you were over, maybe more after the wood show. Few things have changed since you last listened, picked up a van load of second hand gear recently and still stuff in boxes everywhere, if you want to come over and listen to a $90000 pair of E's just for fun, let me know. 

As far as the room, it's primarily the bass that may present an issue and you won't know until that first piece of music plays.

Finally in! Yay! Enjoyed the first real listen last night with the BIL. Sounds pretty good. Don’t think the ‘void’ at the back of the room is creating any issues with the sound. Played around with the loading on the phono stage and now am happy, I think......

Don’t let them get under your skin - they have no idea when it comes to design aesthetics!

 

Room looks fabulous and the sound was wonderful, Michael! If that delicious slow roasted pork hadn’t smelt so good, you wouldn’t have got me out of that sweet spot at all!
