suparockin
Anyone bought the Panasonic Viera TH-65PZ700A (65" plasma) recently? Am hoping to get a decent discount off the RRP of $12,999. Thanks for your help
Spero D.
what do you mean - how is it stuffed? In that is not working correctly and making the picture look worse according to this thread over on AVS- http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1007175 People whom have bought the unit and saying this in the 1 feature they were waiting for and Panasonic hasn't got it right. Apparently a firmware fix may be coming. This may or may not effect ours but time will soon tell at the end of this month.
scottylans
The refresh rate on 24p content is so low it flickers and looks nasty : hence stuffed
pneu
If you want to know what the flicker looks like just set any panasonic plasma to 50hz.
ssar
Gonna go to a few local shops over the next few days, I reckon I can get a brand new boxed Panasonic TH-50PZ700A 50" 1080p Plasma for $2700. Sounds like a good price to aim for at the moment, espeically in a local area, yes? Edited June 10, 2008 by ssar

suv84
Was looking on the panasonic site at their swim 2 win promotion and came across this in the prize list One (1) Panasonic 50” Full–high definition Plasma (Model TH-50PZ800A) valued at $3,849; I assume this is going to be the RRP on the 50 inch
zorlac
I saw the two side by side and 70a's colour was really dull and the overall brightness was very dark too. Not sure if it's the difference in the settings though.I don't think $1900 for 70A is a great deal although it's not too bad considering the 5 year warranty. I just got 50" 80A for $1,869 including delivery and installation. Haven't seen it cheaper anywhere else Was watching 'I am Legend' in Bing Lee on a 50" 80a and the scene where he's looking for his dog in the darkness looked amazing. Really nice blacks you wouldn't see on most LCD's. .Z

audio7ech
Just ordered 50 inch PZ700A for $2650, delivery included, from The Goodguys Nunawading. HN, JB, and DSE are unable to match the price at all. DSE does not have it in stock except for the demo one, however the sales guy in DSE told me they have 19 new Panasonic model, probably 800A arriving on 27 this month, and RRP will be 3999. He had already got a group buy from their store which ordered 14 of them at the price of 3398 so he offered me the price for per-ordering. However I am just not sure that the improvements of new model over 700A can justify the extra $700. I saw about 7 of them laying around in goodguys. One of them will be mine tomorrow. Can't wait ... Hi min, do you know which DSE offered you with the group buy for 800A ? is that for $ 3398 for 50" ? thanks

Guest jonlee
PY800 has a higher contrast ration of 1,000,000:1, and it has done away with the "anti-reflective" screen og the PY700, which IMHO, makes the PY700 image a tad too soft.
