Always nice to have a spare! 
Haven’t been in a listening mood for some time but that changes today 

 

I bought these Benchmark Vortex monos of @Steever some time ago and used them on the big JBL for a while.

I thought I’d send them off for a major freshen up and now they’re back. 
I’ll plug them in later and see what they sound like 

A mix of Mundorf, Jantzen and Silmic and Nichicons. The large Power caps underneath were kept original. Some other new bits and pieces there as well

Well the Duntech’s found a new home.

On a suggestion from a good friend I’m trying some Orpheaus Apollo. Not far from the Duntech family and for $600 they’re very impressive.

Big thanks to @tubularbells for going over my Krell preamp and removing the gremlins. 
It’s sounding beautiful mate

Playing at lower volumes. Have added an SVS SB1000 Pro for bass also 

New toy. 
Krell DVD Standard which will serve as a CD player mostly.

Got the Modwright LS100 back out of the box. 
A touch low on gain compared to the Krell preamps but it does go up to 11 so that’s ok. 👌
